What is Bluejacking? How to Bluejack
Bluejacking used to be a fairly harmless trick that people would use to send messages to other people. Bluejacking uses the Bluetooth technology found in most modern mobile phones.
Blue jacking involves sending messages from your bluetooth device to other bluetooth enabled devices close to you (normally within a 10 metre range) and thereby surprising the recipient in the process. You do not need to know the recipients number in order to send the message.
How do I 'bluejack'?
Your mobile phone will then search for any devices in the proximity. Simply choose a device from the list that it gives you and click send. The recipient will get a message asking if they wish to accept your 'contact' (containing the text you set earlier). Some mobiles will accept all incoming messages, others may be set to reject them.
Remember, in a busy area there may be many devices and the name of the devices may not give you an idea of who the person is that you are sending to - so be careful!
