What is a blueprint?
A blueprint is a rough draft...a picture of the end product as seen by the Architect. With a blueprint for life, suddenly there is a place to turn for reference when making key decisions...there are written plans to help you recognize when things are on track...and when it's time to take the next step in life.
What's it all about?
There's something about planning your life and setting goals that just doesn't add up. Most people don't even write down or set goals. But even if you do, it seems to suggest that we can somehow control the future. Perhaps you don't want to risk disappointment when the goals are not achieved.Another issue is the myth that we must be maxed out to achieve our potential. We think that the more we succeed, the more fulfilled we'll be. But that's not the point of this study.
Life is about fulfilling the unique purposes that we were created to accomplish in God's universe. Setting goals is certainly a big part of it. But unless those goals are wrapped around our God-given purpose, we'll come up short in the end.
Planning without purpose is meaningless
Maybe you have you probed into your purpose before? If so, here's a question for you. Has exploring your purpose served any purpose? In other words has any of it changed the way you live? The point is that once you truly grasp God's calling on your life, in each area of your life, it will show up on your calendar, in your checkbook ledger, and in the level of confidence of your decision making.
Have you ever known clarity like that? Have you ever experienced such a profound and sweeping impact that the things you have quietly longed for, the God-born passions of your heart, suddenly move front and center and become your uncompromising occupation?
I am finding that this study helps reveal and clarify such deep-seated heart desires in me. I think that if any of this rings true for you that you should check it out.
