I really like your lens. It is really unusual. I wish you well in your playing and in your life.

Street music is a time honored tradition dating back to antiquities. Here in New York they are still on the streets, subways and some parks.

    Hi Jim,
I have some of your lessons and music, which I find really helpful. I love your style of Blues. I've only been playing for 20 months and need all the help I can get. However, can you tell me what make your battery amp is, I can't find a 30W portable amp here in the UK,
I play with a friend of mine and woulkd like to take my amp with me outdoors.
    Best wishes,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

I use a Harley-Benton HBAC-30 from Thomann, which is their own make - basically it's a Crate clone, but it's only 79 GBP, plus GBP shipping to UK. The lead acid cell clapped out after 3 months or so, but I replace it from a local store for about 35 GBP. It was still a good buy - it can really make some noise! Find it here - http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hbac30.htm

Before that I used a Fender Ampcan for about a year. It's more expensive, but lighter and more compact. This 15 Watt amp comes in at around 105 GBP. Find the specs here http://www.music-instruments.co.uk/fender-watt-portable-batterymains-powered-p-2336.html

They are both great, depends what you need . The 8 inch speaker of the Harley delivers a richer bass than the 6 inch Ampcan. Also has more controls on the guitar channel.

    Hope this helps, Jim
