Keeping the blues flame burning for the 21st century
I have been a blues music lover since I was a kid. It started with a 78 RPM record that I found in my parents record collection by BB King. I was hooked from then on!
In 1994 I began publishing Austin Blues Monthly, a local Austin, Texas magazine that focused primarily on the local Austin blues scene. Through that magazine I met and interviewed blues legends I had only heard about as a kid...B.B.King, John Lee Hooker, Clifford Antone, Double Trouble, Gatemouth Brown, Leon Russell and on and on.
Bluesbelt Magazine is an extension of that first publication but focuses on blues news and music around the world.
