This page will give you all the information you need to fix the blue screen of death or BSOD and hopfully prevent it from coming your way again..

Why Did I Get The Blue Screen Error In The First Place?

Why Me !

This error can happen for a number of reasons but mainly happens after you install software and new programs in your computer. The error occurs whenever Windows XP detects a serious problem from which it cannot recover from. The operating system halts all operations and it displays diagnostic information on the blue screen. The Windows XP stop errors are numbered according to the circumstances that may have caused the error in the first place, these error codes will help in the diagnosis so it is best to write down the error code whenever they show up. You may to be quick as the screen will only be visible for a few seconds before the computer restarts again..

How To Fix The Blue Screen Of Death

Take Note !

The first thing to do check the memory in your computer to see if it is loose, don't worry its not hard to do. Just unclip the clips and rehouse the stick of memory. Do this with each memory module if you have more than one. I have seen this alone curing the blue screen problem.
Next scan your computer to make sure you don't have a nasty virus. Do this with an updated anti virus programe and do an in depth scan. If you have picked up something it may have damaged some of the Windows start up files.
If your registry is faulty and damaged by software this will cause the windows blue screen of death. Incompatible registry keys and DLL files can cause the BSOD. Also bugs in windows registry kernel files can be a frequent culprit. The best way to check this is to scan the registry with a good scanner.
