Robert "Bo" Burnham was a teenager from Massachusetts. He wrote some songs on piano and guitar, performed them on camera, and uploaded them to Youtube. These videos took off, which led him to become famous on the internet. As of October 2010, his videos have had 70 million views.
Eventually his internet fame led him to a "stand up" career and two Comedy Central specials.
His music and performances deal with topics such as race, sexuality, gender, and disabilities. These taboo topics have led to some protests against his performances.

Bo videotaped himself performing two songs he had written, "My Whole Family..." and "My 'Little' Secret" and uploaded them to Youtube so that his older brother could see them at college. After being noticed, Bo performed in Comedy Central's "The World Stands Up" in 2008. Bo then signed a four record deal with Comedy Central Records and his first EP "Bo Fo Sho'" was released as an online only album later the same year. In August of 2008, four days after his eighteenth birthday, he became the youngest person to record a comedy central special (http://www.boburnham.com/about.html). In 2009, his first full length album, "Bo Burnham" was released and This album was a double disc set, including a DVD of his Comedy Central Presents Special, all of his Youtube videos and other performances."Words Words Words" was released in 2010 which included two studio tracks, "Oh Bo" and "Words Words Words".
Bo Burnham's Filmography
Bo has appeared in American Virgin and "Funny People". He plays one of the students opposite Jason Schwartzman in the Yo Teach! segments of Funny People. He has a small part in the film "Hall Pass" which is currently in theaters. In 2011, the movie "Sin Bin" will be released in which he plays a student liaison. "Oh Bo" Music Video
