Why not try a board game to keep you from getting bored?
Board games were extremely popular when I was growing up and they continue to be a standard in spite of all those electronic video games. I personally don't play video or online games, but love to reach for our Monopoly or Scrabble board games when we have some extra time.
This lens takes a good look at what cool CLASSIC board games you might want to consider. Remember board games are great in case your batteries run out or maybe you lose power for an extended period of time!

Backgammon FAQs
Backgammon is a board game for two players in which the playing pieces are moved according to the roll of dice. Players win by removing all of their pieces from the board. There are many variants of backgammon, most of which share common traits. Backgammon is a member of the tables family, one of the oldest classes of board games in the world.
Although luck plays an important role, there is a large scope for strategy. With each roll of the dice players must choose from numerous options for moving their checkers and anticipate possible counter-moves by the opponent. Players may raise the stakes during the game. There is an established repertoire of common tactics and occurrences.
Like chess, backgammon has been studied with great interest by computer scientists. Owing to this research, backgammon software has been developed capable of beating world-class human players.

- I remember playing board games with family, and being bored stiff while waiting for them to take their turn. Someone would have to get a drink when it was their turn, or use the bathroom, or take forever to decide what move to make, or would need a constant reminder that it was their turn, or would knock the board and the pieces would slide across it, and so forth. Honestly, I hated playing board games! Give me a word puzzle book and a quiet corner, then I'll be happy.
