Board Games That Make Life Fun For The Family
Life is a journey that I enjoy. Enjoying time playing games with my kids can be more fun and relaxing than most other things we do together as a family. With so many Techno Games available out there which are great, my kids love them, I love them too. But, with so much going on in with each kid, and myself, I make it a point to put a Family Board Game under the Tree from Santa Every Year. It brings us together at a table or on the floor with real interaction between us and not a TV Screen. It feels great and think we get a healthy and fun experience. I have found some new versions of games I played as a child so much fun that we make it a point to play at least once or twice a week. This week, a rainy one here, my little boy wants to play one a day. I have some favorites, but we usually play his favorites. He is the youngest, and a perfect time to connect with him with healthy Fun. Over time, the best games have evolved and have several versions that I have had to learn or I couldn't Play. So, basically Life is a Game in the real World and playing games that put real life situations to conquer, get rich and give you that "Yay" feel are my favorites. I've posted the games we play and enjoy. The Special Editions are Great for Gifts if you know an Adult or Child that is into a Special TV show , Game or Movie!

Favorite Family Board Game
This oldie but goody is still a favorite in our home. We have several versions and enjoy them all. This original version brings back so many wonderful memories. It's a joy to play with my own children and friends and create new memories for us to share.

This Special Edition has to be the best yet. The most Dis-functional Family ever can now be played in your home. I know my family will get a huge kick out of this one (bought it for Christmas already) with all the silly things they say and do on TV can now be role played by the whole family. You have to be a little thick skinned to play with your tween's, since the TV show is a bit racy, but what the heck, they are watching it on TV so I think playing this with them opens a lot of doors for dialogue. I also think this will be a favorite of Teens on up to Cool people who love that silly show. I'm a fan when I can.

This Game is So much FUN! I play it with my son who loves the Simpson's .This special edition is so like the show, for instance the houses you buy are just like what the Simpsons would end up with. Monopoly, Our Favorites Just Get Better!!
Oldies but Goodies will always be Favorites. One of my Top Ten is Monopoly. Many Special Editions have come out, My favorite being the Edition for the City I/You live in. A stroke of Brilliance. It has been around forever for a reason, it's challenging and fun! High Quality Monopoly's are out there for those who appreciate the Look and Long Lasting features. I love the electronic banking idea, saves time and cleans up easily.

Life, Twists and Turns
The Game of Life Twists & Turns
.This version of the Game of Life added a Techno piece called a "LIFEPOD" and the Perfect score cards. The "Lifepod" is round hand held tracking device that you slide your "visa" card in when it's your turn. It spins, calulates your earnings, family, vacations, the lottery , "EVERYTING' Of course you need your special visa card (color coded to match your car) to insert when it's your turn to spin. Certainly interesting and NEAT AND TIDY. No money to sort and put away, the simplicity of the game set up centering on the LIFEPOD keeping your scores.

Players can test drive different lives, make their own choices, take their chances and experience the twists and turns of real life. The Automated LIFEPOD helps players track time and manage money, houses, cars and family matters with the touch of a button. A thousand ways to play, so no two games are the same!
Cranium
This Game is really unique. I have watched my kids play with their cousins in ages ranging from 5 to 15 and they have more fun. I cold hear the kids laughing upstairs while adults were in kitchen doing our thing. A must for kids of all ages. There are several versions, they seem to like the original one best.
Cranium
Cranium involves teams advancing around the board toward "Cranium Central" in the center, by doing activities on the Cranium cards. The cards are divided into four decks, and each deck involves a skill that players will need to use to complete the activity. Each deck is divided into several specific activities.
The activities required are great for kids involving charades, puzzles, pictionary like skills and even comes with clay to sculpt. The kids are split up into teams to challenge other teams in a game that has a multitude of games wrapped into one.

This Edition was added under our tree last year and we all enjoy playing. 2002 Major Fun Award Winner, it was a great addition to our Cranium Library, small enough to pack for a road trip with a timed element added, shortening a sometimes lengthy game that adds a bit more excitement too.

Scrabble a Family Favorite!

Board games have always brought our family together. Just like eating a meal at the table together is so hard to to these days, game playing is sometimes harder to manage. As I said before, I always make sure there is a Family Board Game under the Xmas Tree from Santa. Scrabble is great for the Challenge of Language and Spelling , I feel like it's a lesson and a game all at once. I really believe it works, I haven't been able to get my busy family at the dinner table all at once in a long time, but we do find time for our Board Games. Scrabble being my favorite because I think to myself "Use It or Lose It". This Deluxe Set is a keeper, and long lasting!

Growing up in a big family this game was a favorite in our home. Many Holiday's were spent playing this after dinner, usually more than once in the evening. A laugh generating game this is one game that is fun for all ages. This original table top game is an inexpensive way to really interact with family for a very long time. I have always thought playing with a team is attractive for family and friends.
