All Shook Up!

I just got home from a week in Houston. We visited lots of fun places, but the most memorable activity of the week was our experience on the Boardwalk Bullet at the Kemah Boardwalk.

What a Ride!

The Boardwalk Bullet is a bone-rattling, heart-in-your-throat, bruiser (literally) of a rollercoaster ride. All wooden coasters are a little bumpy, but this one is extreme. My kids and I came away from the ride somewhat bruised and beaten and with a major adrenaline rush that lasted for quite some time. That first drop is a doozy!

The compact nature of The Bullet (the whole rollercoaster sits on less than an acre) lends itself to abrupt twists and turns. There are no lulls in the action, and therefore no time to regroup and prepare for the next thrill. It's a minute-and-a-half of continuous, intense excitement (fear). Highly recommended, but not for the timid.

The First Drop

This is a drop of 92 feet, and it is every bit as steep as it looks in this photo

You can see that first drop clearly in this photo. It's about a quarter of the way from the right margin.

Love roller coasters! I guess I prefer steel because they are smoother (they don't hurt me)
