There are so many opportunity for boats fails on the water with crashes and whatnot. However, it seems failing to launch the boat safely is also problem... Boat fails are a special kind of funny. I'm not sure if its the cringe factor, the evident cost to the insurance company or the 'I can't believe that just happened' element. Whatever it is, sit back and enjoy these boat fail videos! If I'm ever launching a boat I will make sure I get a crane operator that knows how to launch the boat safely. If I'm the captain, I'll make sure I'm paying attention to where I'm going!

As a boat lover seeing this epic boat failure video is hard to watch. You know its coming but its just like watching a slow train wreck. The murky brown water looms, ever ready to swallow up a shiny new boat. Seeing this fine piece of machinery launched with such incompetence explains why boat insurance premiums are so high! Enjoy.

Boat versus continent... boat fails

Well it was all going well until a pesky land mass cut off the shipping route. I don't think those rocks were the intended docking location. If ever I needed encouragement to look where I'm going this massive boat fail has provided it. Crashing into rocks is never fun... although it makes for a good boat fail video.

Boat versus bridge... Boat loses

I won't give the captain a hard time with this boat fail. At first it seems like he must have been drinking or asleep. However, as you watch the video again you notice that this is a bridge that raises to let the larger boats through. The bridge appears to have been up, but the bridge operator has decided to lower the bridge into the path of the boat! So this boat crash video makes you wonder...was the bridge operator drinking or asleep!

Why small yachts should not cut off big ferries

This almost defies belief. I have a feeling I know who came off second best with this one. Sometimes when I'm driving in my car I get off by a cyclist and I have to brake hard to avoid turning them into a speed bump. I think the captain of this ferry may have had a similar feeling. Except the distance required to take evasive action when your operating a ferry rather than a car is somewhat greater. I wonder what the insurance adjuster thought after watching this video!

Sail boat versus dock = no winners!

Seeing a nice yacht like this being sailed toward the dock with too much speed is concerning, but you just can't look away. Perhaps we can chalk this up as another 'boats don't brake like cars' experience. There was surely a nasty repair bill to accompany this boat fail. I hope you enjoy this boat fail, I'm sure the owner didn't ... someone may as well!

Crane lowering boat fail

When you are watching a video on the web and see a crane lowering a boat, you know it looks like time for an epic boat fail. Looks like everyone involved would have been ok... except for the egos. Probably a costly repair bill for the crane, but fortunately the boat landed in the water... not sure what shape the hull is in!
