Boat Building Instructions Check List
- Clear Drawings - Nothing is more frustrating than breaking out new boat drawings only to find them incomplete and unreadable. You will need clear drawings that are easy to understand, and importantly, broken into achievable steps so you can efficiently move through your project.
- Written Instructions - Many times, the drawings may be easy to read, but in order to really make sure you are doing each step properly, you will want written, step by step instructions to go along with the drawings. I can remember countless occasions of intense frustration because a drawing would not fully show the steps needed to complete a project. With written instructions to go along with boat plan drawings, you know you are well covered.
- Materials List - How many trips to the hardware store do you want to make? For me, I would prefer taking one master list to the store and get all my supplies in one stop. Perhaps the most frustrating thing with any project is realizing you do not have the needed materials. With a complete list, you know you can settle in for an afternoon of woodworking without worry of having to leave multiple times.
