Bob Seger News, Information & Merchandise

Bob Seger became one of the most popular rockers over the course of the 1970's. With the combination of "garage" rock and hard-edged soul and R&B he crafted a distinctively American sound. Throughout his career he has developed a dedicated following by consistently touring with his Silver Bullet Band and with the back to back release of Live Bullet and Night Moves his popularity rose to a new level.

Seger began playing music in 1961 as the leader of the Detroit-based trio the Decibels. His first solo single "East Side Story" quickly became a regional hit. In 1968 he formed the Bob Seger System and signed with Capitol Records which released his first album Ramblin' Gamblin' Man. From then on through the 70's and most of the 80's the group dominated the U.S. rock charts and sold out premier venues in all major cities.

A few years back Seger and The Silver Bullet Band came out with a new album "Face the Promise", in the first 45 days the album sold over 400,000 copies. The music icon will not only be remembered for enertaining crowds with his unique rock and roll style, but will also go down in the books as someone who could do it for over the course of four decades.
