Chester "Bobo" Barnett was a famous Circus Clown during the early to mid 20th century. For many years he traveled the country making people laugh. With his huge build and tiny car act, dancing dogs and eerily sad trumpet song, the clown melted hearts from east to west, north to south, and every town in between.
The one heart he missed, tragically was that of his own daughter. She tells her story in her new book, "Bobo's Daughter". It is on reading about Bonnie and her book that I was inspired to create this lens. Not just to celebrate the life of Bobo, but to celebrate the healing process of his Daughter Bonnie.

- I can't get over the creepiness of clowns. They give me nightmares and make me think of John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer who dressed as a clown. They just seem unwholesome.

- I remember Bobo from the Ed Sullivan Show. My brother and I started calling our baby sister Bobo ... and now that we're all 50-ish ... it feels rather odd to realize that the name stuck and we STILL call her Bobo. LOL Nice lens - I enjoyed the videos. Ciao!
