Body Weight Exercises are the perfect solution for people who travel
All my "road warrior" clients are armed with bodyweight routines that they take with them wherever they go. Each routine is as challenging and sophisticated as need be, depending on the specific needs of my clients. And each is synched up with the programs they are working on with me when they are at home.
This is an easy thing to accomplish, but it takes some ideas and some knowledge. Most of the material you'll find floating around on the internet lacks imagination and / or context. When you aren't quite sure which exercises to use and how to put them together, the task can seem futile. Also, the lack of variety of most bodyweight exercise solutions leads to boredom and, worst case scenario, to injury!
Here you'll find a little taste of what bodyweight training can look like. A well designed program can give you a full-body workout at your appropriate intensity level in under 20 minutes with no more than a 4 foot by 4 foot space to work in. Perfect for any road warrior!
Ryan Murdock - Profile of a modern day nomad
Those who want exercise options for the consumate traveler all turn to Ryan
Ryan is a modern-day nomad, testing himself in the world's forgotten corners as a widely-published travel writer / explorer. This pursuit has taken him to 42 countries, including Mongolia, Nicaragua, and North Korea, by Russian jeep, motorcycle, dugout canoe, horse and camel. In places like that, alone and at the mercy of the elements, you have only your preparation to rely on, and so he has come to rely on the best. When he's not out putting his training to the test, Ryan is traveling the globe to work with his elite list of international private students. Such a fast-paced lifestyle demands mobility, and when traveling light nothing but pure bodyweight programs will do.Recognition as a writer quickly brought Ryan to the attention of a select group of celebrity clients, including rock stars, authors, and film industry talent. He's become the coach of choice for those who spend significant time on tour or on location, because he specializes in health and fitness for people on the hurry-up.
What works for jet-setting rock stars also works for the modern business traveler, forced to work off an endless string of restaurant meals on the sub-standard equipment of claustrophobic hotel gyms. How would you like to banish those gyms forever, while reaching ever greater peaks of vibrant wellness - all within the space of your own hotel room?
