Bodybuilding Foods: Keeping it Simple

What You MUST Know To Succeed
I have been in the fitness industry for around fourteen years, not only as a gym member but a personal trainer as well and bodybuilding foods are the most crucial aspect of the discipline.
My advancement and education have brought me to the point where I am a completely all natural bodybuilder.
This means that I rely solely on my diet, without the assistance of any supplementation, for changing my physiological composition.

Eating For Bodybuilding Success
Whether it is bulking up or leaning down I rely on bodybuilding nutrition only and good old fashioned exercise.
This is actually running rampant in the contemporary fitness world. Not only are people going all natural, but they are also switching to organics in droves.
In response to global climate change, and despite a weakened economy throngs of men and women alike are choosing to eat clean, regulated, and organic foods to supply their training needs. Considering the rising costs of protein and the inflation of food prices in general this is an interesting phenomenon.
When I initially began my journey through bulking diets the first thing I realized was how much food was involved. My instinct was to simplify, and mostly this really worked well for me. Every few hours a few cups of broccoli, twelve almonds for the fats, and half a lean chicken breast. I followed this regimen endlessly without any spices or extra calories.
Within two months I was sitting at 9 1/2% body fat and 190lbs of pure muscle.
However, my pallet was BORED TOO DEATH. I lost interest in bodybuilding foods, and I couldn't enjoy dining with other people because they were eating foods with more flavor and different variations.
However, I QUICKLY learned that is what it takes in order to successfully stay consistent with bodybuilding meals.
If you want to just get big but have no definition then consume more calories than you expend every day, workout in short bursts of heavy weights, and get tons of rest. However, things get much trickier when one desires mass and definition.

Low body fat takes DISCIPLINE. A lot of people think that if you intend on having different meals it will time a lot of time and preparation to prepare. However, do what I did and keep it simple.
For example, in a typical bulking diet that I would give to a client seeking mass and definition, they would be required to intake 21 blocks of protein, carbohydrates, and fat for a total of 63 blocks every single day. If they tried to get crazy with the cooking; I would provide some recipes like Grilled Chicken Salads, Beef Stews, Chili, and Steak and eggs.
However, keep in mind that bodybuilding foods must be measured out to the cup/ounce/Tbs. Like me, after time they realized it was easier to stay as uncomplicated as possible.
So, I told them to get six Tupperware containers and prepare their days bodybuilding foods every night. For me I would cook all my chicken, weigh out my broccoli, count out my almonds and have everything prepared for the next day.

Plan For Success
Whether at work or wherever, I made sure to have my meals with me. One day is set aside every week for a "reward meal" which for me was usually ice cream or pizza. It just meant I had to work harder the following week. Just remember no matter what you do keep it simple and I guarantee that you will never get bored again with eating for bodybuilding success.
