Body building has always been thought of as a man's sport. It's true that most top-notch body builders are men. If you are a man interested in body building, you really have some advantages that can help you tone and sculpt a beautiful body.

The 1st thing you need to keep in mind is that you are naturally able to mold an amazing body. As a man, your body building goals are already enhanced because of the natural hormones that your body produces. Testosterone helps you have more effective workouts and also helps you work out longer. This gives you a bit of an advantage over your female counterparts.

When undertaking a body building program, a real man does his research and knows what exercises will maximize his body mass. He then works hard to make sure that he can achieve the goals that he has made. Building muscle mass requires some hard work and the old phrase "no pain, no gain" takes on a whole new meaning for someone who sets bodybuilding goals.

The key to bodybuilding success is intense workouts that tone and sculpt the specific muscle groups that you are targeting. Focusing on specific exercises that provide a superior workout for certain muscle groups is the strategy. You need to make sure that you aren't neglecting any areas during your routine.

Nutrition is also a very important component of a body building routine for a real man. If you aren't getting the nutrients you need, your muscles won't have the fuel they need to grow. You must make sure that you have adequate protein as well as carbohydrates that provide you with energy to work as hard as you need to.

Getting plenty of rest is also very important. Your muscles grow while you're sleeping. But they also repair themselves at night from the damage you've done to them during the day. Body building for the real man doesn't always mean grunting and straining to lift big weights. The images people think of when you mention women's body building are often incorrect. When we speak of women's body building, we're not talking about beefed up women with huge muscles who resemble their male counterparts. No, women's body building is much more than that.

Body building for women means working out to sculpt a tight, toned body. It means losing body fat and weight by working out with weights and performing a well-balanced cardio workout as well. It means by taking good care of your body you'll make it something you can really be proud of.

Women aren't able to grow muscles like men when they undertake a body building regimen. The testosterone that males naturally produce isn't created in a woman's body in the same amount. Testosterone is what helps grow muscles, so unless women use testosterone supplements in their body building workout, they won't acheive the same gains as men do.

Howerver, women can follow the same body building guidelines as men when they are creating a workout program. The key is having a well-balanced workout plan where you work each muscle group in your body at least 1 day a week. Focus on over-working the muscles so you get maximum results out of the resistance that weights supply.

Intense cardio workouts are also important as they provide the strength and energy you'll need to continue your workout. Get on a treadmill or a stair step machine at least twice a week and work up a sweat. If you're more comfortable with just doing a cardio workout when you're not weight lifting, that's fine. Try weight lifting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and do cardio excercises on Tuesday and Thursday.

Follow a strict diet plan also when you are undertaking a body building program. This doesn't mean depriving yourself of food, that means changing your eating habits so that the things you put in your body work for you instead of against you. That means lots of protein and carbohydrates and cutting down on your sugar intake. Be sure to drink plenty of water.

Women's body building is rising in popularity as more and more women have begun taking a real interest in the way their bodies look. As a sport, women's body building is also a very competitive industry. When you undertake a fitness program, you should give it everything you have, but be sure you do it correctly. You don't want to risk injury. What you do want is a great body you can be proud of.

    Great lens! Bodybuilding can be done to different levels and degrees, according to each individual's preference. Lately I have started lifting weights (in a small way) and walking again because I sit at the computer a lot everyday, and I started gaining weight and getting out of shape and flabby. All it takes to get back into shape is a bit of time, eating right, and a lot of COMMITMENT!
