The 2nd most successful movie franchise of all time is James Bond
Bond is currently in his sixth incarnation, played by British actor Daniel Craig.
Development on the next installment in the Bond franchise was a bit bumpy, but word now is that we'll next see Agent 007 in November 2012 when SKYFALL (aka Bond 23) hits theaters. If you need a Daniel Craig/action fix between now and then, you'll get a chance to see Craig take on the roll of super-journalist in the US film adaptations of the Millenium book trilogy. Daniel is portraying lead character Mikel Bloomquist, and the first installment THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO will be out in theaters for the 2011 Christmas season.

Actor David Niven played James Bond in a 1967 version of CASINO ROYALE and Sean Connery reprised Bond for NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN in 1983, but since both of these films were not made by EON Productions, they are considered unofficial Bond films.

The Beautiful Bond Girls
Being a Bond girl also often means you either get the guy, or you get a really interesting and tragic death as a character. Favorite variations on the Bond girl include a fellow secret agent, the hired help for the bad guy, the bad guy's girlfriend, or the daughter of a famous scientist.

- I've always thought Timothy Dalton was underrated -- LIVING DAYLIGHTS is one of my favorite Bond films. I liked LICENSE TO KILL a lot, too.

- I am a long time fan of James Bond, but for me, Sean Connery was the best James Bond. The others were great as well, except Dalton, and I like the ruggedness that Craig has brought to the Bond franchise. Well done lens.
