Bones TV Series
Bones is an U.S. crime drama TV series that premiered on September 13, 2005 on the Fox Network. The series, created by Hart Hanson, is loosely based on the life of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The character, Dr. Temperance Brennan a.k.a. Bones (played by Emily Deschanel), is named after Temperance Brennan, the principal character of Reichs' crime novel series.
The TV series focuses on forensic science. Each episode centers on a FBI case brought by Special Agent Seeley Booth (played by David Boreanaz) to Dr. Brennan's forensic anthropology team.
Bones and Booth are a dynamite team. They compliment each other and have incredible chemistry. Their weaknesses seem to offset the other's strengths. Bones is a 'just the facts' kind of gal and has very few social skills. (Hart Hanson says he based the Bones character in part on a friend with Asperger Syndrome.) And Booth is a 'gut feeling' kind of guy who is great at figuring out motives. In fact, the only thing they have in common is desire: desire for each other and a desire to find the truth. But that's O.K., opposites attract.

- "Bones" is one of my favorite TV programs, partly because of the interactions between the Brennan and Booth characters. I've wondered about the asperger's connection.
