Bonnie's Top 10 Favorite Songs Of All Time
Ranked #8,004 in Music, #213,799 overall
I got my first AM/FM cassette radio when I was about 11 years old and started getting hooked on The Clash, Pat Benatar, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Rush, Adam Ant to name a few. So here are my Top 10 songs favorite songs of all time.
Slave to Love by Bryan Ferry
Slave to Love: Best of the Ballads
Amazon Price: $5.35 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $23.98
I've got a definite "thing" for Bryan Ferry. I've always has a "thing" for mysterious British singers. I loved Roxy Music first and then I just kept going with Bryan Ferry. My favorite line in "Slave to Love" is...We're too young to reason to grown up to dream.
Scar Tissue by The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Californication
Amazon Price: $5.13 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $11.98
Anthony Kiedis is an unlikely fixture on my list. I typically tend to enjoy less manic musicians but I LOVE the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They are amazing, soul moving, beautiful people...and Scar Tissue is just one heck of a song.
68 Guns by the Alarm
68 Guns
Amazon Price: $8.39 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $13.99
When I was in high school we always played this song at our dances. It's got a good beat, great lyrics and it's well a battle cry, and that just makes it cool and kinda fires you up.
I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick
I Want You to Want Me
Amazon Price: $2.75 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
Cheap Trick has always been a favorite of mine. They're hard to classify and I like that. A little punk, a little rock, a little pop...they have a lot of soul and fire.
Pleasure Victim by Berlin
Pleasure Victim
Amazon Price: $2.16 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $6.98
I'm not sure what I liked more, John Crawford's hair or their music. Berlin was just plain HOT! I love everything about them but Pleasure Victim is one of my favorite songs.
*Disclaimer
It's nearly impossible for me to pick the 10 best songs ever. This list is forever changing with my mood...so it's more of a "Bonnie's Top 10 favorite songs of all time, today" list!
Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie
Big Girls Don't Cry
Amazon Price: $12.88 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $10.49
I can't say I even know many Fergie songs but I REALLY like "Big Girls Don't Cry" and I'm not even sure why but it ended up on my list.
Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf
Bat Out of Hell
Amazon Price: $3.94 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
I was late in my love for Meat Loaf. The year was 1989 and I was working late in the Theatre with some friends when Wayne cranked up the Bat Out of Hell. Needless to say I was hooked on dramatic, over-the-top, teen angst music for quite some time.
Only You by Yaz
Upstairs at Erics
Amazon Price: $7.15 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $13.96
Quite possibility one of the best songs EVER. Yaz was just plain awesome and any self respecting 80's girl who disagrees can take it outside with me.
A Million Miles Away by The Plimsouls
Valley Girl: Music From The Soundtrack
Amazon Price: $7.25 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $16.96
If you saw "Valley Girl" you certainly know why this song is on my list. Nicolas Cage's 'Randy" was my ideal in 1983. The song just added to the experience.
What's the Frequency Kenneth by REM
What's the Frequency Kenneth / Monty Raw
Amazon Price: $1.79 (as of 02/16/2012)![]()
List Price: $11.98
OK, everything by REM is on my list but I always loved "What's the Frequency Kenneth" for it's irreverent sound and lyrics. Besides Michael Stipe is on "Bonnie's Top 10 Most Amazing Famous People" list.
Do you share my taste in music?
