Bonnie's Top 10 Favorite Movies Of 2008

Ranked #28,012 in Entertainment, #347,044 overall | Donates to Squidoo Charity Fund

I typically don't watch movies until they make it to DVD. I can't even remember the last time I went to a movie theatre. I think it was James Bond's "Die Another Day". So even though some of these movies were not released in 2008 I just saw them so there!

Updated to say that the last movie I saw in a movie theatre was "Hop" and yes I liked it!

Juno

Juno (Single-Disc Edition)

Amazon Price: $3.90 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $14.98

Juno could very well be up there on my favorite movies of all time list. I love the quotes, the realness, the fact that the teenagers look their age and how even if people are not perfect things can work out.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Single-Disc Edition)

Amazon Price: $6.95 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $19.99

I'm not sure this was my favorite Indy movie but I did like the fact that they brought Karen Allen back. This movie has a lot of action and the story is decent. I will certainly watch it again!

The Bee Movie

Bee Movie (Full Screen Edition)

Amazon Price: $3.14 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $8.99

I know some people hated the Bee Movie but I really enjoyed it. I love Seinfeld and the fact that both kids and adults can get something from this movie. Bees Rock!

Music & Lyrics

Music and Lyrics (Widescreen Edition)

Amazon Price: $1.91 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $5.97

A movie about an English 80's has-been pop star? Right up my alley. I am a huge fan of Drew Barrymore and became a big fan of Hugh Grant after seeing this movie. Oh and the soundtrack is really good too.

Elf

Elf (Infinifilm Edition)

Amazon Price: $1.93 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $14.96

OK, I know that "Elf" came out a long time ago but I've seen this movie about 17 times this year so that's why it's on my list for 2008. Kids LOVE it, so if you have some you're going to be watching it a lot ! Luckily I love it too.

27 Dresses

27 Dresses (Widescreen Edition)

Amazon Price: $3.97 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $14.98

I really like James Marsden (from Hairspray) in this movie. He really gives it some substance. I am so the opposite of Jane, I wouldn't be caught dead in a Bridesmaid dress so it was fun to watch someone who would.

Hairspray

Hairspray (Full-Screen Edition)

Amazon Price: $2.79 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $12.98

I've got a thing for goofy musicals. This one is not only good but it's got a great message about being yourself no matter what. And the music is really great. I love James Marsden, Queen Latifa and John Travolta.

Mr. Woodcock

Mr. Woodcock

Amazon Price: $0.88 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $5.97

Billy Bob Thorton is one of my favorite actors. I love the fact that you never know what you're going to get from him. His role as a sadistic grade school gym teacher was spot on!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Widescreen Special Edition)

Amazon Price: $3.05 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $14.98

Yes I know this movie is like 25 years old and no this is not the first year I've seen it. It's on my list because it's been on Cinemax a lot this year at about 11pm which is when I'm surfing for something good to watch and I always get sucked in. I can recite the whole movie. If you are between the age of 35 and 40 you'll understand why this movie is on my list.

RV

RV (Full Screen Edition)

Amazon Price: $9.98 (as of 05/30/2012)Buy Now
List Price: $14.94

First I love Robin Williams, second I love Jeff Daniels, third this movie is just plain fun and great for 2 hours of entertainment.

So are my picks Right On or Lame-O?

I loved Hairspary & RV was a good laugh. Indiana Jones was disappointing I thought as it was just too unbelievable, and not one of our Cate's better roles. The rest I haven't seen. Thanks for the list Bonnie
