Bonsai Tool Sets - What Are the Basics?
If you plan on buying a bonsai tool set, there are a few tools that you might be looking for:
1) A concave pruner - made for pruning branches, these pruners cut a concave section which heals better and without leaving an ugly bump on the trunk of your bonsai tree.
2) Bud Scissors - used not only for clipping buds, but also for leaves and small branches.
3) Wire Cutters - made to cut wire cleanly without damaging bark.
4) Shears - long handled, they allow you to reach in for pruning without damaging fragile buds.
