Social Benefits of Recycling
Recycling can help the environment by reducing Co2 emissions, decreasing used space at local landfills, and reducing the amount of trees that need to be cut down to produce paper and other products. However, many recycling agencies are unable to recycle hardback books because the paper has not been removed from the binding. As a result, thousands of hardback books are discarded each year rather than being recycled.

Improving The Community One Book At A Time
There are more than enough books in the world today--the problem is getting the right books in the right place.
Worldwide Book Drive strives to improve the environment by recycling or redistributing used and unwanted books to people or locations that can use them. They help reduce paper waste in landfills and have recycled over 2 million pounds of paper just from old or damaged books! According to the EPA 83 million tons of waste paper products were generated in 2010. Just over half of the waste paper products were "recovered" (or in other words recycled). Books that are donated to Worldwide Book Drive are sorted based on category and condition. If the book is damaged beyond use, they recycle it! Check Out These Great Books on Amazon
