Great Gift Idea For The Booklover

If you have a booklover on your gift list this year, you have come to the right place. I always have trouble finding the right gift for the booklovers on my shopping list, since I'm not an avid reader myself. I would usually end up buying them something else just because I wasn't sure they would like the book I picked out or maybe they even already have it.

Then I decided to make a lens featuring the best selling books so you can't go wrong. With Christmas quickly approaching I hope this will be helpful. Books featured are best selling and featured by category.

Finding out what type of books a person likes is really not that hard. Just look around their house for starters. What do you see? Do you see them reading books? What are they reading? OK so you see what they are reading but still don't know what genre it is. Ask them about the book. It's a sure fire way to make sure they will like what you pick out for them.

Go ahead and ask them about their books. But don't be too obvious, you want it to be a surprise when you hand them a a great gift that they will love to read.

The Age of Turbulence

The Age of Turbulence
by Alan Greenspan

Alan Greenspan shares the story of his life first simply with an eye toward doing justice to the extraordinary amount of history he has experienced and shaped. But his other goal is to draw readers along the same learning curve he followed, so they accrue a grasp of his own understanding of the underlying dynamics that drive world events. In the second half of the book, having brought us to the present and armed us with the conceptual tools to follow him forward, Dr. Greenspan embarks on a magnificent tour de horizon of the global economy. He reveals the universals of economic growth, delves into the specific facts on the ground in each of the major countries and regions of the world, and explains what the trend-lines of globalization are from here. The distillation of a life's worth of wisdom and insight into an elegant expression of a coherent worldview, The Age of Turbulence will stand as Alan Greenspan's personal and intellectual legacy.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)
by J. K. Rowling (Author), Mary GrandPré (Illustrator)

The heart of Book 7 is a hero's mission--not just in Harry's quest for the Horcruxes, but in his journey from boy to man--and Harry faces more danger than that found in all six books combined, from the direct threat of the Death Eaters and you-know-who, to the subtle perils of losing faith in himself. Attentive readers would do well to remember Dumbledore's warning about making the choice between "what is right and what is easy," and know that Rowling applies the same difficult principle to the conclusion of her series. While fans will find the answers to hotly speculated questions about Dumbledore, Snape, and you-know-who, it is a testament to Rowling's skill as a storyteller that even the most astute and careful reader will be taken by surprise.

You: Staying Young; The Owner's Manual for Extending Your Warranty

You: Staying Young; The Owner's Manual for Extending Your Warranty
by Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz

The body is the most fascinating machine ever created, and nobody talks about it in ways that are as illuminating and compelling as Dr. Michael Roizen and Dr. Mehmet Oz. Most people think of the aging of our bodies the same way we think of the aging of our cars: the older we get, the more inevitable it is that we're going to break down. Most of us believe that at age 40 or so, we begin the slow and steady decline of our minds, our eyes, our ears, our joints, our arteries, our libido, and every other system that affects the quality of life (and how long we live it). But according to Dr. Roizen and Dr. Oz, that's a mistake.
