The book plates are cool. I love to put book plates in my books. They give the books a bit of elegance and help when I loan them out. Nice lens.

Love Diana Gabaldon. I got hooked on the books too but I'm not sure if I finished the series. I should take your suggestion and read them all over again, this time on my Kindle.

I believe reading is very important and feel a certain happiness when my girlfriend and I choose to read over watching TV. We've shared a lot of great books. I wrote a lens on my book "The Ten-Day Forecast". As an author I have to believe reading is important. Great lens!

Though a story be turned to movie
The book itself must cert be read
A 2 hour capsule may yes be groovy
But the pages drive imagination instead

Ah I've been a bookworm as long as I could remember. The Jane Eyre books is my favorite from Charlotte Bronte. Villette and Shiley are must-read from her as well. :)

I've made a lens on Jane Eyre, I hope you drop by! :D

Books are man's best friends. They give him company equally in times of happiness as well as in times of distress.

A book can be so satisfying, and the immersion in character so much deeper and longer lasting than movies. Yet for me the most important point you made is: "If you can read you can learn anything."

I'm a big Diana Gabaldon and "Outlander Series" fan. And I met her once, when she did a talk and reading here in Flagstaff, where she went to school. What a nice, neat lady!

I have a 17-year old teenager who read a lot until lately. He's suddenly just stopped reading. I'm not sure why...is it the book selection, although we use the library extensively and have a wide selection available here at home. Is it just a stage? Who knows.

I have heard about these Gibaldon books but never quite been tempted. Are they equally appealing to a guy?

    Nicely done & blessed.

I love to read, too! and that Outlander series has to be on my list this week -- I keep hearing about it! Sounds like a must!

The highlight of reading to my children was when I would have to stop at an end of a chapter and they wanted me to read on and on! They're both great readers now, too, and I'm so grateful for that. I haven't read the Outlander Series, but I will definitely put it on my list.
