December Update-Free Classic Download-Audio or E-Book-The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Frazzled Dad here, still a bit in shock about the  BookWise affiliate program that Bobtheteacher introduced last night, but if it involves reading, or information gathering, I am all over it.

I am a 59 year old mid-life career changer with small children and a small pension, who has envisioned retirement looking like a cup of good coffee and a good book and a quiet country porch and some fall sunshine.... I hope you get the picture.  And  then I could read some of the books I have stacked up on my floor or in my office. 

My mom took me to the library as a little boy and introduced my to Alice in Wonderland.

While I was not too intrigued by Alice at that time,I did get hooked on reading and have been ever since.  We always had Readers Digest condensed versions of current novels on hand, and I would read by the hour.

And now I have professional texts that are astounding in their implications, because of our technological advances.  I love to share that knowledge with my clients. 

For example, recent work on stress hormones and children's brains has allowed me to demonstrate to my domestic violence clients that their behavior impacts their children invisibly, but forever.  Some of those clients take that information very seriously because they take their parenting seriously.  Without books, or journals, I never would have had that information for them.

There are also Peak Performance books out there,  and some incredible work on things like HeartMath or heart rate variability biofeedback and memory training which can help us all move to a more effective and harmonious performance, and now I can get paid to share that information.

Oh, and the business books....I learned on the call last night that I can have my annual stockholders meeting at my house and charge the "very significant" expense for a large sausage and mushroom pizza for the Board of Directors (me) to my corportation.  And I will have documentation for my accountant.

Bookwise actually makes that tax deduction much more viable.  What if I were to film a YouTube video at my home the same day and post it to my lens,  a video about my Bookwise website, for example.  Well, the time and expense of that, at least as I heard the explanation, could be a tax deduction, because I could charge my S corporation for that expense, and for the sausage and mushroom pizza too.

In fact, their is an entire tax education series of lectures available to affiliates.  And that is just the beginning of what is available to those who act now.
