S Backes of WII was looking for a good sized cutting board to give me more cutting room and I found it with the 15" x 20" x 1.5" Boo's board. Made in the USA with hard maple wood. It's a nice honey color and has a nice weight to it. I put some rubber feet on mine, since I plan on keeping it on the counter at all times and the feet help with air circulation. The board came nicely oiled and smoothed to perfection. Worth the money, buy this board you won't be disappointed!

The John Boos board is big, solid and of excellent quality. Go with the thicker 2.25" board. I was apprehensive about the board arriving cracked or damaged during shipping, but it arrived in excellent condition - packaged well by MetroKitchen. Of course, it is very heavy so not prone to throwing around.

I forgot to buy the John Boos Mystery Oil with the board (as a prior reviewer recommended) and so I looked for it locally with no success. Happily, I ordered it through Amazon/MetroKitchen and it arrived quickly in 2-3 days - happily before Christmas. We like the board so much, we may buy a second one!

D. Hudson from AZI have to admit I am a foody and watch anything I can watch when it comes to cooking. Well, I have always had cutting boards. But, when I started watching all of the cooking shows on tv, I began to notice that all of the best cooks sported a "Boos" Board on their well appointed counters. Well, of course I just had to have one for myself. So after several days of web searching for the best price I landed here on Amazon (of course). I purchased the 1 1/2# thick board so that I would have a substantial board to leave out on my countertop at all times. Needless to say, It has never been moved. I use it every day. I Wipe it down from time to time with Mineral Oil so that it doesn't dry out and wipe it with a clorox wipe after each use to kill germs etc. This is a quality product that will no doubt last me a lifetime. I am very pleased.
