A niche in simple terms is a very defined area in the market.
Examples of niches would be:

Affiliate marketing
Pay per Click advertising
Article Marketing

Ideally, a niche that makes a lot of money for internet marketers is a niche with reasonable to high demand and minimal competition.
Some people dedicate their time to finding niches which are about to become the latest fad, like the health food craze or Acai Berries was a while back.

HOW DO YOU FIND A NICHE?

You need to do some thinking, write down various options of areas that interest you and the start digging.

You can use the Google adwords tool to get an idea of the number of monthly searches and the exact keywords that people search for.

Once you have found a keyword in a niche with little competition and reasonable amount of searches, you can start looking for a good value product to promote in that niche.

This in my opinion is key to good business.
There is so much junk on the internet, and of course you can promote junk, and make good money off it, but your customers will not be happy since they did not get what was promised to them.

The best is to find a product that really offers value for money.

A product that is fairly priced, and actually helps your customer with his problem, and one that pays out a good commission for you of course.

You can select a high value product by spending time researching what you are going to promote.

Browse through the various available products in your niche, and see if the product is what it claims to be. The best way to do this is to buy a copy of the product yourself. Yes...GASP...that means you have to spend money on a copy, but that way you really know what the product is about, and you can give first-hand facts from using the product. This really helps in sales tactics.

There are really many ways to promote your product.
Some people are very successful with one method, others use multiple.
I will list the various ways in which you can promote your product and make sales:

1-) Article Marketing:

This involves writing short articles about your niche or product for certain keywords that you have researched.

Some people write a few hundred articles about one niche or product and submit them to article directories like Ezine articles or Goarticles.

At the end of the article you will link to your web page or directly to the product you are promoting.

The beauty about article marketing is that it is absolutely free, and it is pretty easy to rank on the first page of search engines with an article of 250-500 words.
You can write as many articles as you want about the same subject, and the more you write, the more potential future earnings you have.

Say that each article will bring you 2 sales a year. Hopefully more, buts lets be careful. Say average commission is $20, so each article witll bring you $40 a year.
If you have 1000 articles ( which is 2 articles a day for less than 2 years), you will be making $40000 a year on autopilot, maybe for years to come.

A helpful tool I have come across in my article marketing journey is Instant Article Wizzard. It is a program that helps you create variations of the article and topic you are promoting.

I wrote over 100 articles by hand, and writing multiple articles on the same topic can be pretty tiresome on some days.

This is genuinely a product that I use to help me write more articles and thus get more exposure in the search engines, so if you do decide to do article marketing, I highly recommend it.

2-) SEO and your own domain.

You set up your own web page or multiple web pages promoting your niche and product.

This means that you will need to buy a domain (the easiest is from www.Godaddy.com)
organise hosting for that domain (Unlimited sites and hosting for $7.95 a month.)



Some search engines prefer domains with the keyword in the domain name, so if possible try and get that. It depends on your aim of your webpage though, something short and catchy can also become very popular.

You use SEO (Search engine Optimisation) on your content, keywords and layout to get your page ranking as high as possible in search engines so that you get traffic from them. ie. people searching for the keywords you are targeting.



SEO ELITE SOFTWARE is another useful software package that is a great tool if you have multiple websites. It allows you to analyze competing websites and see why they are ranking well, it analyzes your own webpage and tells you what changes you need to make to your content and keywords to get you ranking much higher in search engines and it has a function to easily submit your websites to link directories to get those backlinks going and gain a better ranking in the search engines.

You may wonder if you really need these tools and packages I'm suggesting, and of course the answer is no, they are not essential to your success. I however, find that they make life a lot easier, and they pay for themselves many times over so I made the investment without much thought.

3-) PPC( Pay per click)

PPC means you pay money for targeted traffic.
You create an ad on for instance Google Adwords, that only shows with certain keywords that you have researched and think will bring you money.

People searching for these keywords will see your ad, and possbily click on it, and then it costs you an amount for every click, but those people get taken to your web page or your product home page, and then if they make a purchase, you get your commission.

With testing and experience, you will be able to calculate that it takes you for example 20 clicks to make one sale, and if 20 clicks cost you $10, and the commission from the sale brings you $20, you make $10 pure profit and are thus running a profitable campaign.

Having experimented with PPC when I didn't know what I was doing, I experienced you can blow a few hundred dollars in days and get no sales if you are marketing with the wrong keywords. 4-)Email and 'list' marketing

This involves you having or building a list with many contacts, preferably in the same market, and then sending out newsletters via email to all your contacts at once.

The newsletters are generally informative, sometimes giving away great advice and freebies to gain the readers trust, and every now and then promoting a product.
Because you have gained the readers trust and set yourself up not to be a pushy salesman trying to make them buy rubbish, your email list will be much more suceptible to buying what you are promoting as a high value product every now and then.

Imagine if you have a list of 20000 people.

You send out a letter and 1% of your list instantly buys the product you are promoting.
The product pays $50 commission.

200*$50= $10000 from one newsletter.

Can you see how this can be profitable?

Getting the traffic to your web page or products home page is a start, but if none of that traffic buys...then you have a problem, because you will not make money!

The key to making sales if winning someones trust and providing them with what they want.



This means matching targeted trafffic with high value products and becoming a master salesman.

Your choice of words and interaction with the customer as they read your sales pitch can make or break the deal. You want to come across as someone who knows what they are talking about without being arrogant.

Personal interaction and personal experience often make a great difference in how the customer perceives your sales pitch.

I started using Clickbank about 9 months ago when I began my internet marketing journey.

Over the last few months I have learnt much, and I have spent some money on products to teach me and help me with my affiliate marketing, the ones listed in this lens actually. Some were a total waste of my money and those products I will not recommend to anybody.

The Clickbank Code review has really helped me in the last few weeks, giving me a few days of over $100 in commissions!

Of course Clickbank is one of the bigger and more popular affiliate marketplaces, but there are many many others, and i am part of different affiliate programs besides Clickbank, but it is nice to have various options and different products.

Making that first sale is always the hardest.

When it comes to education on affiliate marketing, Commission Blueprint and The Clickbank Code are by far the best products on the market.

Both are similar to each other, giving highly detailed videos, and step-by-step breakdowns of the techniques used that personally made lots of money for the creators of the products respectively. (Lots of money means far over $100 000)

Both Commission Blueprint and The Clickbank Code give great depth and focus on PPC (pay per click) marketing strategies combined with your own domains to boost your affiliate commissions like crazy.

The difference between the two is that Commission Blueprint is a monthly subscription of $67 that you can cancel at any time, and you have an interactive forum, mentors, strategies and like I said access to all the videos and teaching materials.

The Clickbank Code is a once-off payment of $77, where you also gain access to over 20 videos, techniques and strategies that brought its creator over $100 000 in 3 months from Clickbank commissions.

Essentially, I prefer Commission Blueprint, especially if you are starting out, because there is a strong support network with the forum, other members and mentors. The monthly cost of $67 is essentially 2 sales, and you can be pretty sure you will make more than that within your first 2 months if you follow the outlined strategy and technique.
