BoostGear.com changing the game for racing apparel

Ranked #11,422 in Sports & Recreation, #275,810 overall

Hi, I'm BoostGear.com and funny, racing inspired apparel is my game!

Racing apparel with an edge that fits the needs of racing junkies, hobbyists and die-hard racing lovers. Two years ago the members of BoostGear.com looked around and thought, wow, nobody has any type of clothing that fits "us". Who might "us" be, well it probably depends on who you talk to but we are freelance group of fun loving automotive appreciate peoples. Thats simply all we are and we love all forms of motorsports. Often, we are accused of enjoying one form more than another, or simply being anti-nascar, which is not the truth, we just simply have opionions and enjoy some forms of racing more than others.

The simple facts about BoostGear.com is that we manufacture racing apparel (apparel meaning hoodies, t-shirts, sweat shirts, ringer t's, etc.) for those who enjoy racing and the humor behind keeping racing fun and sexy. Secondly, BoostGear.com is all about the use of turbocharger's and supercharger's for force feeding air into all types of internal combustion engines. We don't care if it's a 50cc scooter, to a 1.3 liter rotary or even a big dog 12 liter turbo diesel. All in all it comes down to this, if you have a good sense of humor and you like racing, check out shirts because it doesn't cost anything to browse and our store is open 24 hours a day on the internet!

To contact BoostGear with even general questions, email us at BoostGear@gmail.com and some one will try to reply to in a decent amount of time. Please remember that we still enjoy the racing scene, so if it sunny outside, we probably won't answer till that night! We have done a lot of free lance design work for other race teams and car clubs if this is the type of thing you are looking for as well.

BoostGear.com Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't like what I order? What if my order doesn't look right? What if...?

BoostGear.com FAQ -

We took some questions that we get all the time to BoostGear@gmail.com and decided it was time to make an FAQ. Being that Squidoo has more "google juice" than our own page, we decided it was best to put it on Squidoo than even our own homepage, BoostGear.com.

Question # 1 - Why did you guys start making racing shirts?

We didn't just decide to make them out of the blue. We noticed for a long, long time that no one made anything that we liked. The market is overly swamped with NASCAR shirts and if you go on eBay or shop outside of North America, you will find that F1 rules the land with some World Rally (WRC) clothing here and there. After complaining about this since 1997, in 2006 we decided enough was enough and made some shirts for ourselves. Pretty quickly our original design started showing up on forums and people started to ask us where we got our shirts from to which we could only reply "we made them" and that was that. In early 2007 we found a way to get our designs out and about. The rest has been history.

Question # 2 - Where do you come up with the stuff on the shirts?

We have come up with or said things over the years that we think are either humorous or sarcastic in one way or another. We have also found that the right amount of satire on a shirt can really make it, not only in the laughs we get but the all around perception of the shirt out at the drag strips and race tracks.

Question # 3 - Why did you get into making shirts centered around turbo diesel's as well?

For the same very reason we made the shirts originally for turbocharged automotive (i.e. car's) applications. The diesel guys we know would constantly toss around terms about cummins engines vs. power strokes vs. isuzu's vs. duramax vs. what ever else you can think of. Most of the people who drive a turbo diesel truck as well are not afraid to express an opinion for the most part and this helps because if they take overly extensive care of their truck, they probably want a shirt that matches for driving the rig!

Question # 4 - Some of the humor on your shirts would be considered "touchy" for some but do you think any of it's over the top?

We hope that it is not, we obviously play the sex joke card a bit but we try to chase laughs in general rather than make fun of others. This is probably the number one reason we love being car (and truck) guys and gals. To me for the most part, if you have been around cars, racing, building engines, fabricating parts, or any form of motor sports for some time, you have learned to deal with humor and how to laugh about tough times. I guess collectively that BoostGear just hopes that other happy-go-lucky racers out there love our shirts enough to buy a few because we have all been there when the engine blows a head gasket in the semi-finals or the battery dies minutes before the money rounds get started. The only thing you can do in sportsman racing moments like these is grin and bear it!

Question # 5 - What types of payment does BoostGear.com accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and check cards, as long as they are connected with one of the major credit card companies listed above. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

Question # 6 - Do I have to pay tax?

Sales tax is only applied to orders shipped to a California, Nevada, Kentucky or Washington address. So this means if you are NOT in one of these states, you do NOT have to pay tax!

Question # 7 - Can I get a deal from BoostGear.com ? What are my chances of finding a Coupon or Coupon Code?

Occasionally we will offer coupon or discount codes for use on purchases. Follow these steps to redeem your coupon.

* Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout.
* On the Payment page, enter your coupon exactly as it appears in the box that says "Coupon/Promotional Code."
* Click "Apply."

Question # 8 - What if I don't like the items I receive from BoostGear.com ?

Question # 9 - I see that most of your sales are via the online shopping cart system, can I still place an order over the phone?

BoostGear.com tells you why our shirts are the best!

Here is a little piece of the mayhem and logic we use to create our shirts!

Reasons why BoostGear.com probably has a shirt to meet your tastes in racing, drifting, drag racing, tractor pulling, truck pulls, stock car, roundy round, straight line, gymkhana, or any other kind of automotive or truck related performance.

1. We are turbo fanatics. We have helped put a turbo on most any common sized engine you can think of. Currently the smallest engine we have helped to turbocharge was a Suzuki GSXR 600 which has had both a Garrett T20 and T25 turbocharger strapped to it, while the largest engines we have helped with was a massive upgrades are the commonly tweaked diesels from Dodge, Ford, and Chevy which include the Cummins, PowerStroke, and DuraMax turbo diesel engines.

2. We are supercharger fanatics. The folks at BoostGear.com have helped install superchargers on all sorts of engines. The smallest project being a Harley motorcycle, while our largest project to help with was a 1400 horsepower drag race only mustang.

3. We are all around performance fanatics. Sadly for the first 10 - 15 years the crew at BoostGear.com raced, all they knew existed was drag racing. Now please understand that we are still addicted to drag racing, it's just that we found that sometimes all around performance can be amazing as well. During our "dark ages" we did not realize that steering control and braking were equally important in most other sports outside of drag racing. This all changed however around the year 2000. When everyone else was worried that cars were not going to start and computers were going to loose it all, BoostGear.com was just realizing that bigger brakes and better handling upgrades can make a car so much more fun!

4. We love killing cones. After emerging from our dark ages of strictly drag racing, we realized through our first auto cross, that killing cones was the best stress reliever since sex. Once auto cross was mastered (yeah we mean that sarcastically and still regularly take beatings from the local cone blasters), we found the road racing is flat out amazing. Thanks to some outside friends and teams we were able to turn some laps at courses around the country, some of favorites being Road Atlanta, Summit Point, and Mid-America. We have run all types of street cars at tracks and hope to someday get to jump into something crazy, however we are not holding our breathe at this time!

5. We love tractor and truck pulls. While growing up, most of the team at BoostGear.com was in an rural area. When we state rural, we mean stuck living 6 miles outside of a town with a population of 250 people. We are not strangers what so ever to both nostalgic and modern torque blasting equipment for pulling. Cummins, Duetz, International, Oliver, JD, Cat, we have at least some knowledge of what is going on inside those monsters and we know more about them if they are related to our first love, the act of pressuring induction with a Turbocharger.

6. When you want to talk about big time, you talk about F1. We know that most motorsports exist for the entertainment value and that here in North America, F1 does not get nearly the exposure that we wish it did. F1 cars are flat out simply amazing. It's our opinion that F1 cars are basically the pinnacle of racing technology. We would love F1 even more if they were turbocharged, however we understand that the sport is already one of the most dangerous in the world, and down to earth enough to realize that this could potentially be a bad idea.

7. Why we just can't get enough NASCAR. We get made fun of all to often about our love affair with NASCAR as well. We admit that we like F1 better, but you can't beat the coverage you get of NASCAR. The Speed channel alone shows you almost every angle, picture, engine bay, schematic, etc. of the cars, the teams, the drivers, success stories, failure stories, break down of race tracks, etc. If you want to know anything about NASCAR, you certainly don't have to look far and the level of the competition related to the tightness of the fields is amazing what that sport brings to the table for many weeks a year. We love the drama too. We realize pro wrestling as a bit much, but nothing beats throwing your helmet at another mans car travel 80 mph.

8. BoostGear.com loves a good dirt track shoot out. We don't care if it's a dirt track in the middle of no where USA, or the national shoot outs for a particular class. Dirt Track racing is exciting and we love it.

9. This list is a current work in progress... TO BE CONTINUED!
