EZINE ARTICLES EDITORIAL GUIDELINES

EzineArticles Editorial Guidelines are quite stringent. Articles submitted for approval are reviewed by editorial staff and are generally approved within a week or less.

There are some important aspects of the guidelines that I will highlight here which will help you ensure that your article submissions are approved on the first attempt:


• Ensure your article is an original piece and has not been submitted elsewhere;
• If using articles from ghost writers, ensure you have exclusive rights to them;
• The article must not sound like a sales letter or promotional advertisement;
• Check for proper grammar, punctuation and spellings;
• The Title of the article should be at least two words and keyword-rich;
• Include an Article Summary of 2 to 5 sentences, not exceeding 200 words;
• The article must contain a minimum of 400 words and not exceed 5,000;
• Do not include more than 2 content website links in the body of the article;
• Do not include website links in the first three paragraphs;
• Affiliate links are only allowed if the link is a domain name you own.

MY PERSONAL REVIEW OF EZINE ARTICLES

It's a fact that Article Marketing works, but it may not work for everyone. Some of the factors that will help you determine whether it is for you or not, are discussed below.

Do you enjoy writing? It sure helps a great deal because article writing can be quite time-consuming. Of course, you can hire ghost writers and use their content, but it's not the same. Ultimately, you need to ensure that the articles are good quality and have original content.

Article marketing is a process and you will need to submit a huge volume of good-content articles in order to see effective results. You will need to ensure that your articles include targeted keywords to be able to reach your audience.

Articles submission is a manual process, though automation is possible, so you need to be aware of the time required to invest in writing and submitting your articles. Do the pros outweigh the cons? This is something that you will have to decide for yourself.

My Personal Opinion

As for me, I write Squidoo lenses (web pages), so I am already writing content and enjoy doing so. Most of my Squidoo lenses cover much detail, so I find it fairly easy to take that detailed content and spin a quick, short, good-quality and original content article for submission to EzineArticles.com.

Each Ezine Article takes me about 15 minutes to write and I include a link to my Squidoo lens into the article submitted. This helps expand my reach and audience with content that I've already written, thereby directing more traffic to my Squidoo lenses.

I've submitted 10 articles to EzineArticles.com in the past year and have received an upgraded Basic PLUS Expert Author membership which entitles me to submit another 25 free articles.

Once I complete these 25 articles, my membership will be reviewed for a further upgrade to Platinum Status which entitles the author to submit unlimited articles.

Personally, I've not tapped into the full potential of Ezine Articles, but have been able to test it for myself to warrant continuing using this tool.
