Boppy Nursing Pillows and Baby Loungers

There are a lot of items that are must haves when a new baby arrives. My mistake with this item was not bringing it to the hospital with me. It has been a lifesaver! A Boppy is something that each new mom should have on hand for multiple reasons.

I wish I had it in the hospital with me because it made nursing my daughter so much easier - by a lot! Instead, I was in the hospital surrounded by a fortress of pillows which to be honest was not comfortable for either one of us.

As a nursing pillow I would give it 11 stars out of 10! I plan on using this with all of my kids, and all my friends who are currently having babies are receiving one as a gift from me at their shower.

The Boppy was also great for when guests came over. To my mom it is known as Bloppy - now, how she got that name I have no idea. But even after being corrected she still refers to it as that, so we just roll with it! My grandmother on the other hand calls is Bobby - um, we haven't named the pillow, but if I were I'm thinking that would be an appropriate name. The Boppy assisted all my friends and family in holding the baby in a comfortable position. It supported her body properly and made the job much easier for the guests as well.

As my daughter got a bit older the Boppy made a great supportive pillow for her. It helped her sit up on the floor, the bed or anyplace she wanted to be. As time went on she loved sitting in the Boppy, and would use it as a lounger, just leaning back and relaxing!

When she moved to solid foods and I knew we wouldn't be home to use her high chair this came in handy because I could bring the Boppy and set up on any floor. She would sit in the middle and it was very easy to feed her. Of course, the one disclaimer is that you child should always be supervised when you are using the Boppy.

The Boppy Newborn Lounger is also a great product from Boppy! This functions as a relaxing place for your newborn. Supervision is always required when using this, but it is a relaxing place to rest an infant. This a comforting position for your baby to sleep in and snuggle into.

Accidents Happen!Like any newborn or baby product you have to expect accidents to happen on it. Luckily both of these items have washable covers which act as a pillow case. If you have an accident you just take off the dirty pillow case and slip on the clean one. I kept a couple on hand and they worked perfectly!

There are also a variety of designs - which as your child gets older they will enjoy looking at. There are also a limited number of organic covers which are produced for these items.

Fabric Covers
Texture is something else to keep in mind when selecting a cover. There are fleece covers which are perfect for winter and giving your baby a little extra warmth and lighter cotton fabrics which are great for summer as they allow your baby's skin to breathe.
