Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal

The Boss ME-25 comes with all of the most popular Boss effects including (but not limited to) various distortions, chorus, delay, flanger, tremolo, wah, and a noise suppressor. This is just some of the effects available, and you could play with this thing all day to create unique sounds.

The ME-25 is designed to be easy to use, and could adequately suit the needs of both beginning and more advanced guitar players. I would say that it would surprise me if it even took an hour to figure out how to adjust and save patches.

The effects are good for an economic multi-effects pedal. You might be worried that the sounds are not as high quality as the individual stop boxes, but you can rest assured that they are enough to get the job done for a beginner & intermediate players. If you're a professional, then I would recommend going for individual stomp boxes, or a professional board. I do believe that there is room to grow for beginners, and people that play live occasionally.

A nice thing about this pedal is that if you live with people, you can practice without using an amp. Just plug a pair of headphones in, and you're good to go. I've listed a pair of headphones that Sony produces. The reviews are good, and I've been pleased with the Sony headsets that I've had in the past.

The Boss ME-25 can be powered with batteries, but it tends to go through them quickly. As you can imagine, if you use the ME-25 often, this can get pretty expensive. Unfortunately the pedal does not come with an A/C adapter, but I would recommend that you buy the adapter. In the long run, this should save you money on batteries.
