Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells

This is a review of the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells. Hi folks! It's Russell again bringing you news about my latest home GYM purchases and today I will give you my review of the Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells I've bought together with the Bowflex 3.1 Bench that I got last week. Many people said that they like my reviews and that they help them to make good choices when it comes to ordering stuff online and, I hope this review will be helpful as well! Let's get started

When Enough Is Enough

When i got sick and exhausted of waiting for dumbbells at the gym, I decided to buy the Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells because it's an "all-in-one" type of dumbbell. After I did countless hours of investigation I ultimately decided to purchase these Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells. I live in an apartment building and don't have the room for a full rack of dumbbells, but I didn't want to sacrifice the quality of my workout because of that. Therefore, size and quality played a HUGE role. After "bench pressing" tons of reviews, I decided to check out the Bowflex model at the Sports Authority shop which is right across the street. I wasn't impressed at first because they felt cheap and flimsy; however, from my experience of working in retail for years, I know it for a fact that customers treat store equipment like crap, and that probably explained the quality of the dumbbells on display.

My Salvation!

Based on the reviews on many websites, I purchased the Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells. And frankly I consider it to be one of the best purchases I've ever made in my life! I work out a lot and simply hate going to the gym because I gotta drive for 30 minutes to get there. I purchased a bench (the Bowflex 3.1) and the "Motus USA M660BU Advanced Interactive Interface Upright Exercise Bike" and now have a fully capable home gym. I work 3-4 times a week and use my new Bowflex dumbbells every time. I've had them for 9 months and they are still in a great condition and work absolutely outstanding. No problems whatsoever. They are of extremely high quality and take up very little space. I have them placed on a Bowflex stand that I purchased for them and I might write a review about it later. I've actually had a few friends purchase them after trying them out at my apartment.

Bottom Line

Switching weights with the Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells is extremely simple and makes the workout fly by. If you are looking for an all-in-one solution for dumbbells, I highly recommend these dumbbells. Get yourself a bench and an exercise bike (or any other cardio training machine) and that's all you need. Yes they cost more than the usual crappy dumbbells, but if you are like me and hate driving to the gym and dealing with the people there, then these dumbbells are well worth every penny you will pay for it.

P.S

Make sure you order the stand also. Having to drop the weights to the ground is incredibly frustrating. I got the stand for free when the dumbbells were on sale on EBay. Keep an eye out because these dumbbells are frequently going on auction. The stand is also a superior quality product and you can actually feel it's incredibly stable.
