Bowflex Revolution
If you are looking for a good home gym then the Bowflex Revolution may be for you. It's primary goal is strength training and it uses a different technology than the previous equipment coming from Bowflex. It doesn't use the powerrod technology but rather uses disks with a tension coil. This does allow for a smooth range of motion with consistent resistance. It allows for over 100 exercises but in reality there are only so many that are really needed by the normal home user.

Things I like about it.
Some of the things that I like about the Bowflex Revolution are:
1. It's convenient. (But of course, that can be said of all home gyms.)
2. It's consistent. I like the constant resistance that I get from the overall motion of my exercise.
3. It's quiet. It's important when you're trying to be quiet!
4. It has lots of exercise options. There are over 100 different exercises you can do with this machine. Although I don't think anybody will use them all.
5. The disks were very lightweight.
6. Customer service is top notch. I had some problems with the shipping. Boxes were damaged, parts lost. All was taken care of.

Things I don't like about it.
Some of the things that I don't like about the Bowflex Revolution are:
1. Learning curve. You can't pick it up the first time and feel right. It takes 2 or 3 times of doing the exercises to feel right.
2. Not always easy to switch from one exercise to the next. It's like everything else practice makes it easier.
3. The disks could have been marked in a better way so that it could have been a quick glance would have told you what you have on the machine.
4. It's a kit. I'm not sure how Bowflex could of handled this one better. But it comes as a kit. You have to put it together. Plan on at least 2 hours or more to get it together. Of course, you could be better at it than I was.
