Family of Bowlers

I come from a history of family bowlers. We may not be pros, but we all loved bowling.

Besides me, my grandfather (when he was alive), my uncle, and my mother.

He may not be alive today, but he is very important to me and maybe in a way made me who I am today. My grandfather, loved the sport. He used to bowl twice a week. Sunday mornings and Tuesday nights. He was a great bowler as he did bowl a lot of games over 200. He even bowled with 2 balls. My grandfather is someone that is very special to me.

My grandfather was my substitute dad. Every Thanksgiving, we would do a Thanksgiving Tournament. You had to be a kid and the adult had to be male. We never won anything, but it was fun to bowl together in a tournament.

He bowls in the Sunday Morning league that my grandfather used to bowl in. They did bowl in the same league together, when my grandfather was still alive.

He does not bowl as well as my grandfather did. In fact, sometimes now I hold a higher average than my uncle. I've seen him bowl and he does some of the things I do. He throws a backup ball. I do that too, but I also know how to throw normal balls too. We did win a trophy one year in the Thanksgiving Tournament when I was a kid after my grandfather was gone. I was not expecting it though. I think part of the reason we won is because we had a higher handicap when it comes to bowling.

When I was in my twenties and working at Beggars Pizza, I used to bowl in a Friday night 9:30 bowling league, I bowled with my mother. I had a higher average than her most of the time.

One thing you must know in case you did not pick up on it. Everyone in my family didn't bowl in open bowling unless we wanted to practice. We all bowled in a bowling Leagues.
