How to Plan a Charity Bowling Tournament
Bowling can be such a great event to raise funds and have a great time.
1. Set a goal. How much money do you want to raise with the bowling tournament? Decide on a registration fee per person. Encourage bowlers to get pledges.
3. Logistics. Decide when and where the tournament will take place. If you are volunteering to raise funds for a charity, be sure to talk with them about your plans.
3. Get participants. Think about what group of people will be most interested in participating. Will you recruit people from businesses to form teams? Create registration and pledge forms.
4. Get sponsors. You'll need to cover some costs such as prizes, trophies, t-shirts and food. Will your corporate teams also be t-shirt advertisers? Will the bowling alley donate the lanes for you? or give you some freebies such as free passes to use as prizes?
5. Create schedules. Set a deadline for registration. Set up the schedule of when each player will bowl. You may need to have a final round for the top bowlers. This will be an exciting end to the evening of bowling!
