Bra and things that go with bra
Throughout the recorded history women have been using bras and things - in other words - different kinds of garments and even devices in order to cover, restrain or elevate their breasts.
Since 1930s, bras have been mass-produced and brassiere today - unfortunately serves fashion more than functionality, at least in the eyes of bra designs and designers. (Source of photo above: Wikimedia)

Yet, no matter what kind of bra one chooses to wear (push up bra, shelf bra, bra with clear straps, sheer bra, bra with padding or no padding, wired bra or bra no underwire, lace, cotton, elastic or sports) there's a growing need for bra accessories to make our bra more comfortable and to take a good care of our bra top. So bra can take a good care of our breasts.

Bra wash
"Bra wash bag" to avoid the tangled mess

Unless your preference is wearing a plain cotton bra without padding or underwire, washing your bra is a delicate matter.
That doesn't mean you have to fear this task in advance, not at all!
But it does mean that the more proper care you take of your fine lingerie, the longer it will last - and look good. If you just follow a few basic rules, you're on your
way to provide quality care for all of your bra tops, regardless of what size, shape or material bras are waiting in your laundry basket.
Bra wash tips:
- wash in cold water
- use mild detergent
- when washing in the washing machine, choose the cycle for delicates and use the bra wash bag or bra washing ball
- hook up all the bra closures before washing
Bra wash bag
to avoid the tangled mess
Bra wash bags are very useful for washing bras as well as other fine lingerie and hosiery.
Wash bags/balls/baskets should definitely be used in top loading washers which are much harsher on delicates and fine lingerie than front loading washing machines.
Bra washing ball
to preserve the shape of molded bra cups
Bra washing ball holds only one bra with molded cups but it preserves the original shape of the cups better than anything else. This is very important because once the molded cups of your bra get broken/misshaped, they will never look the same again.
What's the best way to dry your bra?
Bra dryer

If you really like your bra because it's comfy, fits perfectly, looks good and the material is in your favorite color - than never-ever(!) put it in a dryer.
Dryer will fast-forward every bra to the state of looking worn-out, faded and shapeless - guaranteed.
Obviously, air drying is the way to go. Flat-drying on a towel is OK but hanging your bras on a hanger (like on the photo to your left) is better.
Bras will dry much faster that way and won't have any stale odor.
There's one little secret to drying bras. And it makes a world of difference. Before hanging your bras, reshape them. Reshape the straps and especially the bra cups to keep them looking like new for the longest time.
Bra extenders

When the part of your bra around your torso all of a sudden becomes too tight, your bra definitely isn't comfortable any more.
That might feel like it doesn't let you breathe properly, leaves deep, red mark on your skin and might really bother you throughout the day - without a break...
It's time to look for an extender - there's no need to buy a new bra as long as the cup sizes still fit.
Before going out shopping, check how many hooks your bra has so you can find the matching extender.

Bra straps

If your answer to the question above is "yes" than you're experiencing just one of the several issues regarding bra straps.
You can try replacing your bra's regular straps with adjustable elastic bra straps (see below) or look for more solutions to your straps-related challenges at Bra straps showing off lens.

Backless and strapless bras are pre-shaped cups to cover your breasts. You basically tape them on your skin. They are supposed to be smooth, firm, seamless and removed (peeled off) without discomfort. Not for swimming, though. While wearing them, you'll have to stay out of the water. ;)
However some manufacturers claim that their backless and strapless bras provide total freedom from binding bra straps.
All the models come in nude and some offer the whole palette of colors.

Silicone breast enhancers

On special occasions when you feel like providing more feminine shape, these breast enhancers are safe, comfortable and look natural. They can increase the cup size by 1/2 to 2 full cup sizes (read product description).
Note: Be aware of possible skin irritation. All these materials (silicon and such) that "seal the skin" should be worn for a limited time only. To stay healthy, your skin needs to be able to breathe.

- Hey, where's the diamond-studded Vicki's Secret bra? You should include it, so I can purchase it through your lens. That oughta be a good commission! :) Really, this is a fun lens, not to mention informative. And I love that "bra extenders" photo. Hmm, maybe I'll start a wall like that of my own.
