Fight Club Round: Brad Pitt or Edward Norton

Ever since Edward Norton co-starred in Primal Fear opposite Richard Gere, he has proven himself as a diverse and diverse actor. Primal Fear brought him an oscar nomination for best supporting actor. he has played in American history x, 25th hour, the incredible hulk, the illusionist and the painted veil. But the role that really made him a household name is the cult flick Fight Club, where he stars opposite Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt has been around a while. he has done indie and mainstream. while he appeared in a lot of movies until Seven, that's the most powerful movie that gave us a new respect for Pitt and of course director David Fincher.Pitt continues to be one of the most popular, highest paid actors today.

Fight Club brought Fincher, Pitt and Norton togetger. If you have seen Fight Club, the title will probably make sense. Norton and Pitt fight in the movie and get a huge kick out of it. So who do you think would win in real life? We are not talking fists, but looks, movies and acting. Your call.

Edward or Brad?

Brad Pitt in TroyHey, I might call Fight Club overrated at 8.8, but I still give it a heartfelt 7.5. So, let's have a fight club match. Between Edward Norton and Brad Pitt.

Who looks (looked) younger at 40?

Well, we all know Brad could play his 20-year-old self in Benjamin Button. As much as make-up was superb in that film, make-up has its limitations. Hell, I love Mel Gibson but he can't even play his 45 year-old self now. I'm just saying.
If you want to remember, Brad was 40 in Troy.

Edward will be 41 in August this year. This picture of him is quite recent. I think this guy would have no problem playing his 20s with a little make-up. What do you think? Who do you think looks younger? I think it is a tie, but I am also inclined to say Edward.

Who is "more" of a "celebrity?

OK, I think Brad Pitt will always win this. Not even Mel Gibson or Tom Cruise can overdo him in this area. Really. Edward Norton can and does ride the subway. His words, not mine.
OK, I am finding it more and more unbelievable that people may not recognize him. I think they do recognize him but respect his space. How can they not? The guy isn't paparazzi material and we love him for it. Brad wins, but it wasn't something I'd wanna win.

Who is a better actor?

This is difficult. And you should keep in mind Brad is 6 years older, so more movies under the belt. But we can agree they are both good, diverse and have had a string of decent scripts.

My favorite Brad Pitt films are (not in any particular order): Seven, Troy, Seven Years in Tibet, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fight Club, Sleepers, The Dark Side of the Sun, The Favor, Legends of the Fall.

My favorite Norton: Well, actually- apart from Rounders (it was sooo boring), I pretty much love everything Norton. Fight Club, 25th Hour, The Illusionist, The Painted Veil, Pride and Glory, Down in the Valley, The Incredible Hulk, The Italian Job..

OK, I think I like Norton's movies more, since you know, I dislike only one movie. And all his movies are more me. So I favor him. Biased as charged.

For guys:
(You can like your looks and it is great.)
But if you had a chance to look like either, who would you rather look like?
Edward or Brad? (Basically, I'm asking who looks better)

I have a feeling Brad is gonna win, but we will see. And I am a girl so I can't answer this one;)

For girls: "Who would you rather%u2026?" Well, I am leaving it blank but I am pretty sure you know what I mean:)

For me: Well, Brad Pitt in Troy is awesome and gorgeous. Same in Legends of the Fall
But, Edward Norton looks great in The Illusionist and 25th Hour. Unless it is Troy, for me it is a tie.

(OK, so I am turned off a lot by this whole Jolie, Aniston and multiple kids thing. If you had asked me years ago, before all this, and before The Painted Veil- Norton doesn't look his finest there but his character there is just great- it was definitely Pitt)

Alright. Bring the answers on. I need an answer either way. You can hate them or not care. In that case, choose the lesser of the two evils;)
