Braid is unique 2D puzzle game developed by independent software developer Jonathan Blow for the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade service. The title was officially released on August 6, 2008 and is scheduled to be available on the PC via digital download, but no release date for this version of the game has been announced.
Braid is played by solving physical puzzles in a somewhat standard platform game environment like Super Mario Bros. with jumping and enemies. Not only does this game look awesome, it reminds me of the good old sidescrolling-action SNES years but with a more complex and inovative puzzle theme to it. It doesn't look too graphic-heavy for the Wii at all.

If I wanted to just kill hours on the computer, I would play solitaire or sudoku. However, with these games, what I wanted was what I got -- an exciting and challenging set of puzzles with a surprisingly compelling plot as a bonus. While it costs 15$ and only lasting about 4 to 6 hours, I can honestly say it is one of the best games I have recently played.
