Featured Book: Chasing Daylight

In a strange coincidence, this was chosen by InBubbleWrap as their book of the day the same day I started this lens. Read InBubbleGuy's review and purchase the book below.

Chasing Daylight:How My Forthcoming Death Transformed My Life

On May 24, 2005, Eugene O'Kelly stepped into his doctor's office with a full calendar and a lifetime of plans on his mind. Six days later he would resign as CEO of KPMG. His lifetime of plans dwindled to 100 days, leaving him just enough time to say goodbye.

Chasing Daylight is O'Kelly's honest, touching, and ultimately inspirational memoir completed in the three-and-a-half months between his diagnosis with brain cancer and his death in September 2005. Its haunting yet extraordinarily hopeful voice reminds us to embrace the fragile, fleeting moments of our lives-the time we have with our family, our friends, and even ourselves.

It is an eloquent confirmation that our lives and the people in them are temporary joys, but the time we spend enjoying them is never lost. And if we conquer our fears-even the fear of facing the end of our lives and leaving behind those we love-we can conquer anything.

It was great to find your lens. My daughter at age 11 had a brain tumor removed. And now she is our miracle girl. She is now 16 and just had her 5 year cancer free check up. Do you have any donation links for "Make a Wish" I would like to feature them on my lens. Thank you and great lens.

Thank you, Kimberly, for your great site! You sure do know how to design a lens.

I hope I can bring you hope. In my book, there are five brain cancer victors whose stories are told. One was in a coma prior to beginning treatment with Dr. Emanuel Revici.

Another was young physician who graduated from Harvard and from Yale Medical School. He was told he had 2 to 4 months to live. That was 45 years ago, and he's still alive today.

A third asked her doctor for a gun to blow her brains out, prior to seeing Dr. Revici.
