Things like traffic, visibility, pay-per-click, and even content development can be daily tasks for SEO professionals. Nowadays promoting each page on your blog is the industry norm. There are so many reasons to promote each page rather than just the main site URL. Let's explore,
Building the Foundation With Keywords
Find keywords that people are searching for on a daily basis. Utilize the selected keyword in the article (don't stuff it or force it), make it sound natural. Ultimately you want to write this article so that it looks good to search engines and also people.

Now What?
Step One - Targeting In On Your Content
Keyword Lookup, Selection, and Targeting
First things first. We will assume your site or blog is finished, has been indexed by the search engines, and you have somewhat of an idea of what keywords you think you will be utilizing. You can use the list above for finding your perfect keywords. The importance of honing in on the best keywords is so very important. Many keyword tools will make you pay a subscription fee in order to see the full daily or monthly search estimates. The keyword tools I have included are all free and registration free. It is important to look at every aspect of the keyword. You want to pick a keyword that will get a lot of traffic yet be easy enough to achieve high rankings, meaning, don't pick something super generic, or unattainable.
* Check the daily search estimates - You want to pick a keyword that has a medium-high number of searches. Make sure you check on what search engines beyond Google as well. For example, Wordtracker will give you these numbers.
* Are there other keywords that will work? - Check on the suggestion tools. These will also give you monthly/daily search estimates. Sometimes you will find keywords that will work better than the one you had in mind. You can also look at the keyword efficiency index in Google Adwords lookup for an idea of how fierce the PPC bidding is on your keyword. Usually this will reflect the organic competition, but not always. Which brings us to the last point.
* Check the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) - This is important! Look at who you will be competing against. Are there 10+ results pages of decent websites? If you see directories, yellow pages, or pages that don't really belong at the top, you have found a winner! Don't let intimidatingly large sites deter you from using a keyword though. After you are completed with this article you will be up with them in no time.
Letting the Community Know
All about your article
-
Social Media/Bookmarking sites are a great way to get your new post or article noticed. These SM/SB (social media/social bookmarking) sites are a very effective tool in the SEO arsenal. Use social sites to build a large community. You should find friends/followers who are into the same topics. The topics you choose should relate to what you mainly write about. Hopefully you have chosen a topic you can easily establish authority. Being an authority will make others want to know what you are doing.
Network, Network, Network
You are only as strong as you community. There are many Social sites now. So many most of the people in my forum have no idea where to start, that's understandable. Social Media Optimization is when you are establishing a stronger presence in social media. This can be a very time consuming part of the job. Weeding through followers, staying active on every site, and always finding new content. It's daunting to say the least! Pick a site and stick with it until it works for you. Why move on to something else if it's not broken? Stick with the biggest until you learn what works and what doesn't. Some sites work better for different markets. The most important part of this process is social networking. If no one is able to see what you contribute to the site then what is the point? Be realistic here, what would make you click on a link from somebody else? Well, they would have to know what they are doing, someone you respect, or make a very enticing link. Lets break it down,
* Find out your target market and audience on a SM platform
* Connect with your target market audience.
* Establish your authority both by what you post and how you interact. Don't overdo it. You can't fake the funk (or authority for that matter!) You either know the topic or you don't.
* Establishing credibility is typically an ongoing project. Don't stop after day one. Make sure your audience is also active and the more participation from a follower, the better.
* Don't ever stop! Some of the big names have been doing this since 2004.
* Find the next big site and repeat.

Writing Your Article
& Syndication, Backlinks, and More
You have found your keyword that you want to use, good job. Now, it is important to write the article utilizing the keyword in bold, italic, and using the h1, h2, h3 tags are recommended. It is standard to write 500+ words. Most directories will not accept your article if a) it is too short and b) if it is self-promotional. This can be tricky if your keyword is something like 'Minneapolis Real Estate' so what do you do? Don't give up! Write about the history of Minneapolis Real Estate, better yet, write about what's happening in Minneapolis Real Estate.
Finished with your article? Good! Next, register for a couple of good article directories. Submit your article to one site, rewrite it a bit, and submit it to two or three others. If you don't rewrite or "spin" the article you run the risk of being earmarked with duplicate content, which isn't good, isn't good at all. This is a gray area. Many believe that this method is the root of all evil. Ruining the internet by flooding it with bad content. Many article directories will accept anything and not check for duplicate. Stick with this list and offer each submission some unique content. Add a link back to the original article on your website and also a link to your site in your author bio on the article directory site. This way you get two links for every approved article.
High PageRank, Alexa, Directories that allow Dofollow Links
EzineArticles Well established, high PageRank/Alexa, also gives you a Expert Author status. Your EzineArticle will have the ability to rank high in the Search Engines.

Finding Your Community
Let's say you are a Real Estate agent who is looking to promote his or her site. One thing that works well for us is finding a community blogging site. RealEstateTomato for example, community blogs where IF you can write about things that people care about (this is where keyword research comes into play), will give you many followers. We know that most everyone who reads the blogs will be into real estate. It's the same with Youmoz and SEO. This is a great place to get traffic. If your article is good enough people will check out your author page and bio, then follow your links to your personal page. It needs to be a pretty good stinkin' article for people to follow your links all the way to you social media profile.
Check with other industry leaders. Find out where they have been posting or chatting. Search through forums if needbe. It is possible to offer help on forums and through that help - get more followers.
Whatever you do always remember to give back to the community. You will be surprised how many links you will get, your status is elevated, etc just from helping the community. And you should do it because it is the right thing to do!
“Being couth on Social Media sites is a must. Part of that is not posting your own stuff.”
Be Creative
Social Media has crashed into SEO and has had significant importance and influence in the rankings. It might not always be this way. The fact is you have the most opportunity for organic or natural link building by utilizing social media sites. We wish you the best in your endeavor and are here, should you need any help.
