What Are My Fellow Lensmasters Like ?

Ranked #8,092 in Squidoo Community, #500,978 overall

What I'd Like To Know Is....

I Thought This Would Be A Fun Way To Find Out More About My Fellow Lensmasters.

GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS!!!

I have found, to my consternation, that I am rapidly becoming addicted to Squidoo. Yes folks, I am an addict! I have also found that I don't really know any of the members of this wonderful network. I know what I read in their lenses and profiles, but that hardly reveals what kind of person they are. However, I do understand that many would rather not reveal their identities or feel that it is simply no one's business, so, I have devised this questionnaire of sorts, as a way of getting to know Squidoo members as a whole. I am just looking to get a general feel for what you, my fellow Squids, like or dislike, where your interests lie, and what your thoughts are on certain things. Most of the questions are through a poll module, so your identities are completely intact. I thank you in advance for your honest and candid answers.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ?

Is there something you just can't stand or deal with? What are they and why.

poutine says:

My pet peeve is: how come nobody can make a decent lawn trimmer?
They can go to the moon though, which is a lot more difficult, isn't It?

CCGAL says:

Right now I'm rather intolerant of internet marketing gurus and NLP practitioners who want to fix me.

NanLT says:

people who are just plain stupid, and don't care.

GrowWear says:

Can't deal with self-satisfied people. There's always room for improvement.

OBAMA ! What Do You Think Of His Performance Thus Far?

Is He Doing Great?

Loading

Yes, and I look forward to seeing his progress!

casablancajen says:

I think it's too early to tell but he seems to be a good figurehead. I like to listen to him talk, which is unusual for a politician!

NanLT says:

He's not been in officec long enough to make an adequate judgement.

CherylK says:

I totally admire our new President.

TheWhistler says:

He is doing so much who can judge, but at least he seems to making himself available to the public. So far no big mistakes so let it ride...

No, I would have preferred McCain!

CCGAL says:

I'm afraid that America will soon be totally owned by other countries and that our freedoms are being eroded.

Eclectic_Muse says:

I've been a Republican all my life. I'm willing to give Obama a chance, but I'm not really seeing it yet.

mbrownauthor says:

I know the election is over, but I like McCain the best.

Jewelsofawe says:

McCain. Good reasons. I write about it on my lens Palin for President.

OhMe says:

McCain, of course

JESUS vs. DARWIN

HOW DID WE COME TO BE ?

THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC.

HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAME INTO EXISTENCE?

Loading

CREATION

Eclectic_Muse says:

A little of both. The evidence is overwhelming in both instances.

mbrownauthor says:

We were created by God!

Jewelsofawe says:

I believe God created us. I think evolution may have also happened after creation.

EVOLUTION

kimmanleyort says:

Creation is constantly evolving as we speak.

GrowWear says:

Evolution is creation is evolution is creation...

casablancajen says:

I agree with Whistler, there is no reason there can't be truth in both. I see religion is a matter of personal belief and as long as it means something to you it doesn't matter if it is literally true or not. However, evolution is based on reason and scientific evidence and it would take even better reasoning and stronger evidence to convince me it was wrong.

NanLT says:

we evolved, after being created as little single cell amoeba thingies

TheWhistler says:

I believe in evolution, frankly I don't understand those who don't. I also believe the bible, it was written in a manner so that people throughout the ages would have an understanding. I see no problem in finding truth in both.

OPTIMIST / PESSIMIST

OPTIMISTS vs. PESSIMISTS

HOW DO YOU LOOK AT THINGS?

Loading

GLASS IS HALF FULL

NanLT says:

Half full -- but I could be delusional. I prefer to think that the glass just isn't big enough.

CherylK says:

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool optimist.

Eclectic_Muse says:

I'm always the optimist!

Jewelsofawe says:

My ex husband used to call me a polly anna. I definately consider myself an optimist

Joan4 says:

definitely half full and over-flowing!

OhMe says:

Through Rose colored glasses

GLASS IS HALF EMPTY

CCGAL says:

I'm actually more of a process engineer. Where the optimist says half full, and the pessimist says half empty, I say "You've got 50% more glass than you need for that operation." (I chose to go on the half empty side because I doubt many will, so I'll stand out from the crowd, LOL)

PEPSI vs. COKE

BATTLE OF THE COLAS

WHAT IS YOUR CHOICE?

Loading

PEPSI ( the Choice of a New Generation )

casablancajen says:

I think they actually taste the same and we're convince they're different by smart marketing.

CLASSIC COCA COLA

CCGAL says:

Coke is not as sweet. I rather like Coke Zero, although truth be known, I drink a lot more ice tea than soda.

24websurf says:

Diet Coke

NanLT says:

Coke -- Pepsi is too sweet for me

Eclectic_Muse says:

Coca Cola. Why? Because Pepsi is not a good mixer.

mbrownauthor says:

Coke.

Jewelsofawe says:

I like diet coke

CUP OR CONE?

ICE CREAM

HOW DO YOU PREFER TO HAVE YOUR ICE CREAM?

Loading

CUP

24websurf says:

keeps it from dripping all over me

NanLT says:

I vote cup, but only because "directly from the carton" isn't an option

Irenemaria says:

Sometimes I just take a spoon and shuffle from the containter!

CONE

ambrking says:

Cone!

CCGAL says:

I love sugar cones so much ... I even have a special waffle iron for making them. (Never used it yet, but sure do love that I have it.)

CherylK says:

A cone. And my favorite is a small chocolate dipped Dairy Queen.

Eclectic_Muse says:

Just because it's more fun!

mbrownauthor says:

Cone!

DICK FUDD

POLITICS

WHAT IS YOUR POLITICAL AFILLIATION?

Loading

DEMOCRAT

NanLT says:

Neither --- I tend to lean towards Libertarian in my views if you're talking American politics. If I were able to vote in the UK I'd be voting Green, or Monster Raving Loony Party. But only because Miss Whiplash no longer as a party.

CherylK says:

I'm really independent but voted Democrat this year. I have every confidence that it was the right thing to do.

Margo_Arrowsmith says:

But I am not a yellow dogger. Many good Republicans out there also

Margo_Arrowsmith says:

but I am not a yellow dogger. Many good Republicans out there.

REPUBLICAN

CCGAL says:

I'm actually an independent, but you only gave two parties, so I am choosing the less well represented side at this moment.

Eclectic_Muse says:

I already stated it above...But...I will choose the best candidate for the job according to my opinion.

mbrownauthor says:

I vote for the people who are the closest to my moral standards, and that is usually a Republican (although not always).

Jewelsofawe says:

I have always been a democrat but after paying close attention this election to politics I think I would say republican now.

LOTTERY

KEEP WORKING

NanLT says:

I'm a SAHM, there's no such thing as retirement for me. Are we talking a really big Euro Millions £50+ million win, or just a couple million quid?

CherylK says:

Well, I'm already semi-retired but I'd still work. I like working.

RETIRE

paperfacets says:

I am already "retired in place". I would stay retired and spend the money and spread the benefits around, buy American, vacation in America and abroad.
Find a charity.

CCGAL says:

I'd finance my Squidoo addiction by never working another day in my life. LOL

casablancajen says:

Quit my job and spend my time (and the rest of my money) working to get better

24websurf says:

I'd adopt all the animals at the shelter then I'd play on Squidoo all day!

Eclectic_Muse says:

I'm already a SAHM. I would pay off all our debts. I would help out some friends in desperate need of financial help. I would make some wise investments in some prospective long-term growth stocks. Finally, I would also donate to my favorite charities.

What a fun lens! I'm an addict too, but I've been taking a break from building lenses. Right now I'm enjoying reading other lenses, working on promotion, and linking things together. I like your style. Keep up the good work!
