Yeah, on November, 11th, Elite Squad 2 - The Enemy Within (Tropa de Elite 2 - O Inimigo agora é outro), the brazilian box office recordist from director José Padilha (Robocop remake) with Wagner Moura (Neil Bloomkamp's Elysium antagonist) on the lead role will be release on several US Theaters.

Seems like José Padilha, director of the box office buster Elite Squad 2, is makins his way to Hollywood. Padilha was hired to direct the new Robocop movie, the remake of Paul Verhoeven's Classic.

I think the director trademark style, mixing realistic documentary-like with fictional drama approaches, showing violence while keeping the dramatical and personal qualities of the script and characters, is perfect to bring the "Future Cop" for XXI century audiences and Zeitgeist.

Tropa de Elite 2 (Elite Squad 2) Box Office Records!

Tropa de Elite 2 (Elite Squad 2) is setting up new records on Brazil's box office and beating up a lot of Hollywood Blockbusters. Already the most viewed movie in the year and the most viewed brazilian movie in cinemas in all time, is almosting outranking Titanic in Most Viewed movie in brazilians theathers.

This sequel has been receiving a strong critical and public acclaim and now, instead of showing actions and debating the criminal world in the "piramid base", it looks at the relationship between the Politicians, Rich Businessmen and Crime.

Even more powerful.

Although is not needed to see the first movie, I strongly recommend to watch Elite Squad I before seeing this.
