What looks good to you for breakfast, soft boiled eggs, fried eggs sunny side-up, or scrabbled eggs with bacon or sausage links? They have tea, milk or orange juice,...hot cereal or cold cereal; ... getting hungry yet?
Would you rather have pancakes, waffles, french toast, or regular toast? (with butter and maple syrup)
Perhaps a croissant, muffin or a bagel would be a tasty treat for you kids today, with jam or honey. That would go great with some fresh fruit or fruit yogurt. There's even coffee, do you drink coffee?

Easy French Toast Recipe
Printable French Toast Recipe For Kids To Cook
- Serves: Six to Seven
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 6 slices of bread (firmer bread)
Instructions
* Break the eggs into a flat dis or pan and beat well with a fork.
* Add the milk, sugar, and cinnamon to eggs, and mix together.
* Dip bread slices one by one onto egg mixture, coating each side.
* Heat the pan, and add a dab of butter in it.
* Cook the French Toast on both sides until golden brown.
Serve immediately with maple syrup. Delicious!
(I like to add butter and peanut butter, then the syrup.)

Blueberry Muffin Recipe
Printable Version For Kids
- Serves: Twelve
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking power
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
* Cream together the sugar and butter.
* Add the egg and beat well.
* In another large bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
* Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and beat until moistened. Batter will be lumpy.
* Add the blueberries to the batter and fold in gently.
* Grease the muffin tin and fill each about two-thirds full.
* Sprinkle a little sugar on tip of each muffin.
* Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.

2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup melted butter
3/4 package chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions
Sift flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder together. Then, add remaining ingredients, (except for the nuts). Drop 1/4 cup onto lightly greased or buttered griddle, spread the batter slightly. Sprinkle with the macadamia nuts. Flip the pancakes when they are browned.
Add your favorite toppings and syrup, and enjoy!

When my children were little, I taught them how to cook. Its a fun activity for kids, and was one of the classes we had in our homeschooling. They had a play tipi and a popup camper to play house in. But, they would have loved the playhouses for kids these days. They also had a shack to play in at Grandma and Grandpa's that my dad built.
My daughter had her play kitchen set, that she spent endless hours play cooking and cleaning at, that was a lot of fun. I was served many meals that she prepared for me to enjoy.
One thing I learned to do when I started cooking, is to clean up after myself as I go. When I'm done using a bowl or a spoon, I rinse it off with water and put it in the sink or dish washer. It does help with clean up later, because the food doesn't get dried on to things that
