How to Be Edward Cullen 

A special message to the guys whose girlfriends or wives have asked them to be Edward Cullen for Halloween.

Forget the Cape and Fangs! As a fan of the Twilight books myself I'm going to assume that there are going to be quite a few boyfriends and husbands who will be persuaded to be a Twilight inspired vampire this Halloween. If this is the case and you haven't read the book you may need a little help with your costume. She will not be impressed if you show up in a black and red satin cape with fangs. There is something especially romantic about the Cullen family in the Twilight Saga that has probably gotten you into this costume in the first place. Now you need to know how to live up to her expectations. I'll give you a few tips and suggestions about how to be Edward Cullen.
  • Forget the black satin cape with red lining. I know it's tempting but the vampires in the Twilight Saga don't walk around town in capes and black suits, but they do dress exceptionally well and stand apart from the crowd.
  • Edward Cullen is forever frozen at the age of 17. His clothes are average for teenager with impeccable taste and an unlimited budget to buy designer fashions. Edward doesn't usually wear dark colors or black. The first time Bella saw Edward in black was at the prom.
  • You'll want your skin to be extremely pale but don't go overboard with the clown white makeup in the costume section. Use a luminance makeup powder or foundation instead. You'll want your skin to look like porcelain. Twilight vampire's skin is described as marble-like and is always very cold to the touch.
  • The Twilight vampire's eyes change depending on their last feeding: If they're thirsty their eyes will darken to black and purple bruises will appear under the eyes. If they've hunted recently to quench their thirst their eyes will be a liquid, golden topaz or butterscotch color.
  • Twilight vampire's skin sparkles in the sunlight like diamonds.
  • Edward's hair is an unusual and beautiful shade of bronze.
  • The vampires in the Twilight Saga do not have the typical fangs that you would normally associate with the word vampire. They do however have razor sharp venomous teeth that are pearly white and glisten in the sunlight.
  • Edward Cullen and his family are vegetarian vampires. They resist the temptation to drink human blood and hunt wild animals instead.
  • Twilight vampires posses god-like beauty, strength, speed, endurance, and agility. Their scent and voice are enormously seductive. They do not need to breathe and do not sleep.
  • Edward is charming, extremely romantic, stubborn and little old fashioned. (He was "changed" in 1918)
  • If you happen to have a shiny silver Volvo it would be a great accessory to your Edward Cullen costume.
  • This most important thing you'll want to remember about Edward is that he is drawn to the scent of Bella's blood. He has never thirsted for anyone more than he does for Bella and it burns his throat with desire. Edward's instinctive hunger for her blood is barely controlled by his love for her, but he will do everything within his power to keep her safe. Edward is very careful not to let their tender kisses get out of control knowing that his strength could easily crush her in a moment of passion. It's always a struggle to keep Bella safe and love her at the same time. More to the point, If you are Edward for the night, your "Bella" is the forbidden fruit. She's the the tastiest food you can possibly imagine and as much as the monster in you wants to devour her, your desire to keep her alive is stronger, but does not come easily. Have fun with that!
  • Last but not least... If you're a dad and your daughter is a Twilight fan please, I'm begging you, DO NOT dress up like Edward Cullen. It will ruin the magic and leave her psychologically damaged forever.

Jasper Hale Costume Ideas 

(As Requested by a Reader. -I Hope This Helps & Good Luck!!)

  • Dress well and wear clothing appropriate for Forks' wet weather. (The Cullen's all look great in blue.)
  • Wear gold or topaz colored contacts. (optional)
  • Do not wear fangs if you want to be true to the characters in the Twilight books and movie.
  • Jasper's skin is a very pale alabaster. Use a luminance makeup powder or foundation makeup that is several shades lighter than your skin color for a subtle look. You'll want your skin to look like a pale white porcelain, not a clown. *Follow the makeup tips above to create dark purple bruises under your eyes if you want to be a "thirsty" vampire. Again, sparkles or optional, but fun. (Twilight vampire's skin sparkles in the sunlight.)
  • Although they are hard to see against his pale skin, his body is covered in crescent shaped (half moon) scars, bite marks left from vampire venom, that are layered in a crisscrossed pattern. You'll want these on your arms, especially. *See the video below to see what these look like, but remember that they should not be a bloody mess. They are healed over and very faint and silvery against his pale skin, like white on white. You could use scar putty and cover it in a pale powder to create this effect.
  • Jasper's character in the movie has delightful waves that seem to reflect his personality.
  • Of all the Cullen family, Jasper has the hardest time controlling his thirst for human blood and once lunged at Bella when a single drop of blood fell from her finger.
  • Jasper has a gift of being able to control the emotions of those around him. He's the ultimate "chill pill".

Edward becuse of how protective he is and that I can feel that what ever I do but i dont try to do it's like I'm in the same position as him trying to protect my girlfriend and not when I'm not with her I get all upset and I wanna go see her but my brother he just will not stop talking about her and it pisses me the hell of because I'm not with her. When I'm with her I follw her like a lost puppy dog cause shes very clumsy. and if I was on Jacob side i don't like it that they think the vampires stink and when they call them filthy bloodsuckers if i was the Alpha male Iwould say that the vampires we trust and that they are really cool people and that they are not filthy and they do stink but I think there awsome.
