the influences are endless
growing out of bigbeat breaks has taken on all sorts of influences
the bassline breaks - some call it nuskool some don't has the sense of dnb but the bpm of breaks ie slower - this is one of the piledriver or nosebleed ends of breaks - look at labels such as against the grain and wireframe
funky breaks does what it says on the tin - it uses a funky and often lighter flow making it more melodic - labels such as fingerlickin, splank, heavy disco, labrok provide choons in this vein
there are also heftily electro and tech flavoured areas of breaks - look for labels such as fat!, funtional and more
the daddy labels are tcr - thursday club recordings (Rennie Pilgrem), botchit and scarper, marine parade (Adam Freeland)
