If someone told me about a breakthrough cellulite treatment, I would naturally assume they were talking about some new cream or pill that has just come on the market, which is probably just enough to send me to sleep.

The old adage '8 glasses of water a day' (2 litres) may seem intimidating, but in fact most people drink 2-3 litres of something everyday, so why shouldn't it be water?

It may seem obvious, it may not, but here is why...

The most common mistake you might make when trying to get rid of cellulite is to go on some extreme diet, where everyone eats only celery and carrots for a week or two. Granted, you would lose weight (temporarily), but you wouldn't lose cellulite.

Any changes made to your diet should be made slowly, and they should be healthy. Since you need fat in your diet, if you suddenly try to change your diet to reduce your intake of fat significantly, your body will then STORE any fat which goes into your system instead of burning it. Although cellulite is generally caused by hormones, this stored fat will contribute to the cellulite.

Allowing your body to get used to your new daily intake over time is essential, and therefore the best way to change your diet would be to make small changes every day.
