2009 SUSAN KOMEN 3 DAY WALK: Everyone Deserves a Lifetime!
Welcome to my Susan Komen 3 Day Walk lens! I hope you will find this handcrafted lens a unique and useful resource for your 2009 Susan Komen 3 Day Walk|fundraising experience. I have two goals with this Squidoo lens:
First, Provide YOU with unique, useful and updated information on the amazing Susan Komen breast cancer organization, the 3 day Walk events, information on what other walkers are doing and unique ways to energize your fundraising, motivate your team & inspire yourself!
Second, I'd like to introduce myself and Buttons of Hope for your consideration. I started Buttons of Hope to give people like you a way to personalize your cause. Rather than just scribbling a name on the back of your t-shirt -- now you can easily create your own custom photo button to honor a loved one or support a friend. Battling breast cancer is hard work. Hard work to overcome it, for the people affected. Hard work to treat it, for doctors and other healthcare professionals. And hard work to find the causes and cures, for breast cancer researchers. That's why we walk so far on the Breast Cancer 3-Day. To honor the fact that, while a world without breast cancer is possible, getting there requires hard work.Though the fundraising minimum is $2200, the average amount raised per walker is actually $3000! - As a former director for the March of Dimes in our area of SC, I am astounded at the brilliance and the simplicity of the Buttons of Hope! Yes, the buttons make the cause real - with real people!
