A Personalized Breast Cancer T-shirt and Gift Shop

Hi, and welcome to my breastcancertees lens. I create personalized Breast Cancer tees, and I will feature mine, other artists, and links of interest. Styles for survivors, supporters, and memory t-shirts and gifts.

For custom designs, please write to me at studio@macwells.com and provide a name and/or photo. Please do not order until you get a rough draft from me. =) This design was applied to t-shirts and reproduced quite well. Also, let's donate to the cause and eradicate this terrible disease. Peace and love, macwells

If you would like help with a t-shirt design for your family's annual walk, please write me at the above email address. From first hand experience, the tees wear great. My daughter and I have worn and washed and worn and washed. I'm impressed with the quality of Cafepress, and so was our team.

My daughter on the Komen Race for the Cure day

It is now a tradition in our family to participate in this effort

This is Lauren. She is now growing her hair out for the Locks of Love donation program. It has gotten quite long, but we are still patiently waiting for it to be very much longer to donate it to another special little girl in their program.

Selections from my Cafepress

I hope to create awareness to this issue and help eradicate the disease. 1 in 8 is the percentage of women that will find themselves facing this disease. That is unacceptable. If we all participate in the annual walks and raise money to donate to research, we can beat this. We must.

Race for the Cure

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is a series of 5K runs/fitness walks that raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

About the Race

Each Komen Race for the Cure is a five kilometer run/walk (5k) for people of all ages and fitness levels. All Susan G. Komen Race for the CureĀ® courses are certified by USA Track and Field (USATF), the national governing body for track and field, long distance running, race walking and cross-country events.

Since its origination by Nancy Brinker, founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure Series has grown from one local Race in Dallas, Texas with 800 participants to a global series of nearly 120 Races with more than 1.5 million people expected to participate in 2007. The Race Series has grown internationally with events in Germany, Italy and Puerto Rico.

2008 will mark the 25th anniversary of the Komen Race for the Cure.

A Word About Breast Self-Examination

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Breast self-examination (BSE) is an easy but unreliable method for finding possible breast cancer.

If performed appropriately and regularly BSE may help in early detection of some types of breast cancers, although it should not substitute for screening methods (such as mammography) that have been proven to be effective. The method involves feeling breasts for possible distortions or swelling.

    To Mary,
Thank you for creating this site to raise awareness of breast cancer. The shirts you created for our Relay for Life Team to keep Shelly's "Drehm Team" fighting for her are very special to all who wore them. As Kristi stated, we did receive many compliments on Shelly's shirts. For anyone reading this, "Drehm" is pronounced dream as my sister's last name was Rehm & it was her dream that a cure would be found during her lifetime.

    Hello Mary ~

I think this site is wonderful! Thanks for all you are doing to bring awareness to the fight against cancer. We had many compliments on Shelly's t-shirts and many who had asked where we had them made. I hope it generated some business for you. You do a great job!!

    Thanks again,
    Kristi
