Breast Cancer Awareness is getting more attention these days. This means more money raised to help find a cure. Breast Cancer touches so many families, whether it's a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt or male relative who is touched by this disease.
My own grandmother lost both her breasts to breast cancer. It's something that has touched my life.

What Are My Odds of Getting Breast Cancer?
As you age, your odds are constantly changing. In my 30's I had a 1 in 229 change of getting breast cancer.
I turned 40 this year, and that means my odds changed. I now have a 1 in 68 chance of getting breast cancer.
By the time I'm 50, I'll have a 1 in 37 chance of getting breast cancer.
My mom is in her 60's, and she has a 1 in 26 chance of getting breast cancer.
Being a women puts me at higher risk. It's just a fact of life. I've had a relative with breast cancer, which again is another risk.
I've had that phone call to come back and have a lump rechecked on three separate occasions, and it's a scary feeling. I've been getting mammograms since I was 34 due to family history. I don't know about you, but I want to find a cure and an answer!
