Bree Tanner, Newborn Vampire Army
Bree Tanner was one of the newborn vampires created by Victoria for her army, created with the intention of wreaking revenge on the Cullens for killing her lover James to save Bella.
There was little mention of the newborns in the original saga, with Bree only enjoying a fleeting moment of focus in Eclipse, but the book The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner goes back and looks at the Eclipse story from Bree's point of view, letting readers in on the life of the newborns before they attacked the Cullens.
Of course, we know the end of the tale, because Bree was killed by Jane in Eclipse. But what we didn't know was who she was, or what happened to her and the newborns before they came for Bella. Now, Bree's story has finally been told.
